[Z06] Drone with corsa?

Drone with corsa?
Think I may have a deal on a set of corsa for my Z, I don't mind loud at wot but I would like it to not drone. I have considered the fusions but the price is just too far up there. I have heard there is little to no drone with corsas, lts, and no cats as long as you have the stock cam but can anyone confirm that?

I have headers with no cats and a intake with tune on stock cam. I have virtually no drone with corsas sports. I installed them a few months ago. I had akrapovich with mild to wild and in both positions the drone was very noticable. Open position was ridiculously loud in the cab.
I bought the newer black tip corsas.
The Corsas were night and day from my old muffler setup.

everyone has a different threshold of what they consider drone. Best case is to find someone with the setup you are looking at. I had corsa extremes (no headers) and had drone in a certain RPM band.

Not sure how relevant, but my old C5Z with headers/catless/cammed had absolutely no drone with corsa’s extreme mufflers. I run Corsa’s on all my toys specifically because of their “no drone” technology. If you don’t want drone, there simply isn’t a better choice IMO.

stock engine, stock exhaust, corsa sport no drone at all! it's quiet until you put your foot in it them it sounds like a monster, you won't be disappointed I promise!

I had the Corsa Sport on my stock C6Z and loved it - throaty and absolutely screams at WOT. Absolutely no drone at cruising speeds. Now with Catless LT's, B3 Cam etc there is some drone in 6th at 60-70 but still tolerable.

Thats a pretty decent sized cam so if it doesnt have much drone with that I think I'll be happy with the stock cam

With stock cam, drone will be minimal. With aftermarket cams, it could be minimal to outright deafening.
For me, the Corsa's were amazing with stock cam and exhaust manifolds. Once I added headers, high flow cats and a mild cam, the drone between 1400-1650RPM was unbearable. I promptly switched them out for a stock catback system with a custom mild to wild switch and all the drone is gone now when it's in the closed position.

Headers (w/ cats), mild cam, and Corsa....minimal drone at 1500rpm. Block It sound deadening helped. FYI, this set up with OEM mild to wild open was unbearable and the Corsa sounds 100x better

My 2009Z had Kooks with hi flow cats and Corsas. No cam . I loved them , had no drone with this set up. As I have said many times on here, all the LS engine Vettes I owned ( 4 so far ) get Corsa exhaust. Very satisfied .

I have Corsas 600 rwhp NA with ARH headers and cats and I would say very little drone. I can even drive it in 4th gear at 1,400 rpm and it is OK. I have the Corsa system with the 4 pipes that go out the back. It is the bigger version that weigh close to the factory muffler weight. Occasionally I might get a little drone but it is one of those things sort of a specific situation like going up a hill at a low rpm.

Well I ended up finding a scratch and dent corsa on amazon for $1150. Figuring I could always return it I have it a shot. Box showed up and the “damage” was a small dent in the slip joint, 5 min with a. Pipe expander fixed that in 5 min so overall a steal on a. New system lol
ob to the sound...it’s definelty different From akra or BB but overall I still really like it. I have 2” ARH castles x pipe but still on the stock cam. Honestly these things are barely louder than stock with the flaps closed. Up top they scream but cruise you can’t even tell they’re there

corsas w/o LT = no drone. w/ catted LT and tune = some drone. at first i thought it was too much. the drone either went away after a few months or i got used to it. either way love the sound now.
