Waste of time for us man. Plus, how cool is a built vette?

We're using this controller

It'll be a custom cold air setup

Most cops in our area are more likely to pull you over for a closer look at the car

its extremely cool. Especially when it’s done right and you live somewhere that doesn’t have built vettes. I’ve been stop twice by cops for simple ****, a California roll and no blinker I think.....but the main reason they pulled me over was to check out the car, I knew instantly when they walked up I wasn’t getting a ticket and it was an “excuse” to shoot the **** about the car and get a better look. Which for me was cool cause if I’m driving the vette it’s a nice day and I probably have no where to be anyway lol. Keep in mind my windows are 5% too. I also wasn’t do anything that would be frowned upon either.....that’s makes all the difference with the boys in blue....at least from my experience.

Pretty cool intake, not a fan of the dual throttle bodies. Feel like you can make a Y pipe a run a single throttle body. Cool concept though and nice anodized look.

We're still here tinkering. Passenger side is trimmed, Driver's side will be a little more tricky.

Is it bolted down? CAI designed yet? Hood cuts?

EDIT: I know, patience right? Most intakes I would cringe at chopping up my hood for. This intake I would be happy to break out the cutoff wheel and display proudly. Still eager to see the finished result.

Fernando - if you could redesign the back on the drivers side how much would you need to cut and reshape the back part so not to mess with the windshield wipers. I realize it may look a little weird and there may be a little less in the plenum (but back there it is kind of dead space). I am guessing but say 1-2 inches. You would need to move the little sensor hole up but there is plenty of room. Another idea would be to slant the underside of the back a little. That way it looks OK but misses the windshield wipers by them being underneath. The reason I say this is maybe the manufacturer is watching this build or should be and they could figure a way to make it work. Still have to do some cutting but maybe make it a little more user friendly and thus generate some more sales for the company. Of course this would be predicated on you producing some big HP/TQ gains here over whatever was on there before.

I got pulled over a couple of weeks ago in this rural Texas town... I was in fact speeding 43-35 in my TB SS.... Of course I flashed my Military ID as I was grabbing my DL ( they are next to each other in wallet) and the Officer was like, How can I give you a ticket... Military, and a bad *** SUV... Here's a warning and slow down as this is a speed trap...

The hood was made locally so he'll take the car to the builder at which point they'll decide to modify the current hood or redesign a new hood.

The driver's side plenum would have to move forward 2 inches to clear as the wiper base goes up and forward. You can see how far back it sits in this picture.

i was curious to how close it really was to the glass.

really surprised it had that much space from the other images.

I thin somewhere they said like 40-50 hp. But not sure what that is over (stock, fast, MSD). They have some dyno sheets on the Carbon XR website with like a 650 flywheel hp motor I think.

Interested to see the dyno results. Any more details on other mods done to the car?

We're still playing with the clocking of the pipes but it's more or less finished

Mods:
LG G7X3 Cam
Carbon XR Intake
ID1050 Injectors
2" Headers - probably hurting his power band right now

It's on the dyno right now. I'll have numbers soon

Fernando
