Hey guys
Looking to go to the Texas Mile. I'm from Houston. Anyone here planning on going? I need to get a helmet, gloves, and fire extinguisher. Anyone have experience in temporarily mounting one securely in the car?
I will be running Michelin PS4, 600rwhp. I doubt I'll go any faster than 180.

Not running this time, but I plan visit on Saturday. Be sure your helmet is SA2010 or newer, M rated helmets will not pass inspection. At 600rwhp you should be in the low 180's depending on weather. I was able to go 182 bone stock, 186 with 620rwhp in good air conditions. It will be a great time, good luck!

I did 185 with low 500 hp. Lethal Racing showed my car was 575, Pat G and Kurt's dyne showed my car did 480hp. At 600 I would think you will be close to 190. I build an extinguisher mount that I put in front of passenger seat. Bolted to the front mount bolts

It's funny you mention that, because my car hit 600 whp at Pat and Kurt's dyno recently. It's the only Dyno I have been on.

So I'm registered! I see 15 other C6 Z06's on the roster, so I know there are some people here
I think a 1k whp z06 might be 210 or 220, you'd have to have a roll bar and harness according to the rules.
I don't plan on breaking 200 with ~600whp. I also have aero which will bring safety but probably lower my top speed.

Using my VBox Sport, I measured a 1 and 1.5 mile run as well, and hit 194 in standing mile...204.7 standing 1.5 mile.
To hit 200 in a standing mile, you'll need 700+ rwhp for a C6 Z06 with standard aero...something I'm hoping to hit once the new engine is completed and installed
Good luck and be safe !!!!!
