I looked into it, Gibbs stuff didn’t do very well on Ratrods oil analysis and for the price no way I’d run it over Amsoil signature series....but it’s an “oil opinion” thread which is gonna generate a million different opinions...including the one I just gave lol

I've run it, 2 oil changes and I didn't notice any more or less quiet than with M1

I've been running it for years - formulated specifically for LS engines. Don't know that it will make a big difference in quieting the engine but I don't think you can go wrong with it. Tom

Burning Brakes
My performance shop in Dallas (21st Century Muscle Cars) uses/recommends it and those guys know their stuff. It's Driven LS30, Joe Gibbs Racing Oil 5w/30 for GM LS high out put engines. I changed my oil a few months ago and stuck with and went with a Wix filter.

I used it and had many miles on track with changing the oil every two track weekends. Last oil sample from blackstone I had before I parted the car out looked great.

I used to run Mobil 1 5w30 and had to rebuild my short block at 32k miles. My engine builder recommends LS30 and I’ve been running it ever since. So far so good. Hard to say if it’s better but I’m running it lol

LS30 will be done at my next oil change.

Where do you buy your Amsoil?

Funny you ask...it’s actually not very easy to buy the stuff right? If you go to Amsoil’s web site you can put your zip code in and it will show you all the places or people who carry Amsoil near you. The private sellers probably won’t have 5W30 signature series on hand unfortunately. There actually was a parts shops/garage near me that has a good stock of a lot Amsoil products but it’s definitely not cheap, I think signature series was $13 or $14 bucks a quart. I ended up signing up for a year membership so I can order directly from Amsoil now with a discount. I think that got me to $8 or $9 a quart I can check if you want. I did a **** ton of research on oil and all the hard data I could find led me to Amsoil signature series being the absolute best oil for my C6z. Just my opinion so keep that in mind.

Melting Slicks
It's what I use in my ZR1. Have had no issues whatsoever and the oil analysis keeps coming back great. Driven Oil is no longer owned by Gibbs, it was sold when J.D.'s health started going downhill is what I was told. I also use other oil from Driven on our racecars

Mordeth(Anthony) can definitely hook you up! Dudes just flat out awesome! He was gonna take care of me but after talking about it and all the **** I was wanting and needed it was easier for me to just get a year membership in his opinion. If you just want oil he can definitely take care of you! He can get you whatever as he’s a dealer, I needed oil/filters, torque drive transmission fluid, severe gear, slip lock differential additive, more oil and filters for the wife’s car....
