Is there a definitive valve quide thread
I am taking delivery of a 2009 Z06 tomorrow and the seller bought the car used and has no info on valve guide service.
I will likely do the service/repair in the short term.
Is there one place to find all the required info I need to done.

Generally guides are installed by whoever's doing all other internals w/ heads, a journeyman machinist most likely.
Most threads detail basic DIY removal/installation process, installation using preassembled heads done by AHP or another builder.
While CF has more than a few competent engine guru/members, discussions normally center around specific brand components.
Who & what to use is about as deep as it usually gets 'round here, re heads anyway.
If you've the skills/tools/docs & location to execute all the steps involved w/ rebuilding heads, my hat's off to you.
I'd suggest you document the entire process and yes, pics are a must.
Be a very educational thread.

That's not a fix. Proper valve job by an experienced machine shop to fix the shitty guide to seat concentricity issues that plagues the OEM heads is the correct method (amongst other things). Give AHP a call... https://www.americanheritageperformance.com/
I guess my real question is what exactly do I ask a local machine shop to do.
As in, what guides to install, do the valves need changing and if so with what, what is the whole scope of the job.
Can I buy a kit from one company with what I need to bring to my local shop.

I have no intention of doing the work myself.
