P0449 code

I had posted a while ago asking about this code. I found out it was an Evap solenoid. My question is the check engine light has been on for about a month but today I turned the car on and drove it around a bit and the check engine light wasn’t there. Anybody have a clue why that would happen?
Took it to a local corvette shop and the guy told me it may have to get reprogrammed and he wasn’t capable of doing that. Never heard of that.

itll probably come back eventually... may be loose wire etc....

mine did that and i replaced both under hood and gas tank units and that was it...
