C6 Corvette Z06 Speed Engineering Headers
Just picked up an 06 C6Z, does anyone have an input of the Speed Engineering LT headers and mufflers. They look like a good option considering that they're less than $1,000. Just wondering how good they are and how they stack up against LG headers, Kooks, etc.

I would say Speed Engineering headers are better than buying eBay headers. I put them in the same category as Texas Speed headers; they are okay. Some people have problems, some people don't. I won't outright say they are trash, but...
If you want perfect fitment and not have brain aneurysm from installation frustration, go with Kooks.
I DO NOT recommend ARH as you may need to hammer the crap out of a frame pinch weld on the passenger side which is completely unacceptable for the price they charge. Quoting from ARH installation instructions: "Note: On C6’s only, minor clearancing may be needed where lip protrudes the frame adjacent to passenger side collector. The lip protrusion isn’t consistent from car to car. Clearance the lip only if necessary." Sorry, but this is 100% BS. If ARH, did a better job of designing their headers, you would not need "minor clearancing". Kooks fit perfect.

As for the speed engineering axle back, I had that on my car, too. I mounted it up to my Texas speed x pipe so some fabrication was needed but I was not a fan of the tip alignment. On one side the tips had about 1/2” length difference (which I assume is how it was supposed to come.) The other side had one tip about an inch and a half longer than the other so it looked kinda funky.

What he's talking about is the ARH header on a regular c6, not the z06. I have arh 2" on mine and the fit is perfect. Didn't have to hammer anything and clearance all around. If you've ever installed a 2" header then you know it is very tight getting them in. Spend the money once and do ARH or Kooks.
