Is C6 Z06 reliable car for daily driving today ?

I daily drive mine (in the summer months) and track it as well. Did the same with my previous 'Vettes and my old LS1 Camaro as well. I don't see the point of having these cars and NOT driving them as intended?!?!

I don't see why not. I try to avoid rain so I don't have to wash my car as much, but otherwise I daily mine.
ARH 2" headers, PRC 285 heads, 12:1 compression, 238/254 114+4 cam.
I daily drove my HCI Camaro before I had my Corvette too, put 40k miles on that car and it was the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned.

I wouldn't daily drive my Z06, nor any other sports car. I'm fortunate to have several other vehicles from which to choose that are more comfortable, easier to get in/out of, and close to as fun to drive. Plus I don't have to worry about poor roads causing issues or other drivers (parts for C6s are pretty scarce should anything happen).

I wouldn't. The car is too wide, awkward, with long doors and our roads are generally too poor...plus we have lots of traffic.
I'd much prefer a daily, with automatic transmission, supple suspension, easier ingress/egress, and one that I don't worry so much about nicks and scratches or running over objects on the road.
While you surely can drive anything as a daily, i'm sure it would become a PITA after a while and the uniqueness and feeling its something special, would wane pretty quickly. Your commute and circumstances may be different there...so it really depends.
Good luck and hope you enjoy it

I daily drive mine because I love driving it. I have several other vehicles. I have trucks, SUV’s and other Vettes. But the C6 Z06 is my favorite thing to drive so I drive it daily.
I have not experienced any problems driving it daily.

Depends on what you want out of a car.

I have a few cars and use my Z06 like any other car except I try to keep it cleaner than my others so no rain or dirt roads. After all it is but a Chevrolet :-)

Depends where you drive. If your in slow moving or standstill traffic forget about it. You will clutch in and out hundreds of times in just a few miles.
smooth back road stuff all day no problem.

I drive mine or my C5 daily. The C5 has 355000 mile and is still a pleasure to drive. The C6 is our go to long distance trip car. The only cautions are it does not like snow, and speed bumps. Enjoy it. These cars were built to be driven.

I daily my 09 z06,I live in socal so the roads aren't too bad.
I drive it rain or shine.
bought it in 2022 of oct with 60k,now has 72k.
I do worry about some *** not paying attention and hitting me but I drive it on loud npp mode when there's alot of car around me so they can hear me before seeing me.
Buy extra parts when you can youll never know when you'll need them.
These cars are going up in price, but we can die tomorrow get old die etc, and the Sancho will be driving it when we're gone anyway lol 😂
Have fun and live guys.
I turn 46 on the 17th of Sept so ...

I daily drive my 09 Z06. My commute is about 20 miles each way. I do end up driving my work van home 2-3 days per week, but my z06 is my only car, and it's been phenomenal. I bought it with about 35k on it a bit less than 4 years ago, and i have about 53k on it, now. I've only had to do a few oil changes as far as maintenance, though I've also replaced the shocks with drm bilsteins, as well as the wheels with forgelines, and i upgraded the shifter to the mgw (plus a shift **** from raceseng) and steering wheel with one from Vitaly. I also spent a ton of cash upgrading the sound system (probably about 7k or so - every penny was worth it on the one)...
i also added the oil thermostat, which i believe everyone should do.
additionally, I've been collecting parts to replace the heads in a few months. I'm just waiting for the cam to be finished and then I'll be pretty close to ready to get that done.
But overall it's been terrific. I love driving it every single minute I'm behind the wheel, and it's the best car I've ever owned...

I've put a couple hundred thousand miles on C5 and C6's over the years, I've had at least one as a daily since 2003-4 something like that. Las Vegas and Southern California primarily. I try to avoid driving in the rain if I have slicks on, if not it doesn't matter much IMO. I've driven front wheel drive sedans that are worse in rain and roads with standing water. Every 100K or so you need to do a major drivetrain refit; clutch, torque tube, etc. I've had motors with150-200K on them that I have never had the heads off. I've actually only had the heads off of cars by choice not because anything needed service.
My dad has a 2005 (worst car we've ever had in the family, it had some electrical gremlins that took a long time to sort out) other than that we got it with 50K on it, did the clutch, tube, etc. at 150K along with some other small things and it's never been better. Prior to that service at 150K and to this day the only things it's needed have been a water pump, a couple sensors; oil pressure, TPMS, AC. He did just over 100 miles a day in that car until he retired recently.
I still daily a Corvette. I do have other options but I prefer it unless I'm pulling something or sitting in traffic.
