Looking to upgrade my seats in my 2006 Z06. My first choice would be the Caravaggio Daytona Race Seats but as everyone knows it’s a slow process. I see where the Competition Seats out of a C7 Z06/ZR1 will fit in my C6. Sounds like the C7 bottom brackets will bolt right into the C6 location with some modifications. Looks like Vetteworks offer a conversion plug. I found a set of C7 Z06 Black Alcantara/leather Competition Bucket seats which have heat/cool like mine. They are not cheap, priced about the same as Caravaggio seats ($4,500.00) but without the Z06 logos. What’s your thoughts? I haven’t actually ever set in the Caravaggio seats but I’ve set in some C7 Comp Seats which felt very nice. I don’t plan on ever tracking my Z only spirited driving on winding roads etc. Other options are the Recaro Pole Position or Speed V Seats. Thanks

Vetteworks sells an adapter plug. I’m going to go that route. I was too big for the speed v seats. A shop near me sells them. If you have over a 36” waist they’ll be too small. Im a 40”

That’s good to know about Vetteworks. Thanks about the information about the Speed V seats. I’m a 36” but that doesn’t leave me much room for expansion. Appreciate the information.

I, too, want to upgrade the seats in my Z06 especially after daily driving my new. M2. I wouldn't pay $4,500 for C7 comp seats, however.

I made a mistake today and sat in a set of Caravaggio Daytona Race Seats mounted in a C6 Z06. I’m probably going to go with my gut/seat of the pants feeling and hold out for some Caravaggio Seats unless I come across a great price on some C7 Competition Seats. I agree $4500 is too much for the C7 seats. I could justify $2500-$3000.00.

Curious, what happens with the airbags? The side airbag is gone when swapping seats and also doesn't the steering wheel airbag need the seat position sensor reading? I have a pigtail from a vendor that will bypass the airbag warning light, ie trick the system to think the seat is still there, for when I swap in my race seat... I'm guessing the steering wheel airbag will still deploy if needed even without seat position sensor??
