Power steering While
Hello, Looking for some feedback on a new noise the car started making. After a hard pull, through a couple of gears there is a whine coming from under the hood that seems to be associated with the power steering. It's very noticeable at parking lot speeds. While turning the wheel it sounds like the power steering is straining under load. Not sure if it's pump related or something else. The noise will eventually go away but if I do another hard pull through a couple of gears into the upper rev range, say over 5000 RPM, it will return.
All the accessories on the front of the motor and belt are still stock, but it is an HCI car making over 600 to the wheels.
BTW the title should read whine not while. Sorry for the typo.
Thanks

Start by chaning the power steering fluid and use a premium product such as Red Line Power Steering Fluid.
Do that and report back to the list.

Mine started doing that and it turned out the ps fluid was low. Couldn't find any leak or source of potential leak so simply added fluid. No noise since.
