Do you think???
Hey guys, Would any of you think that, despite speculation that the cost of a C6 Z06 will cost 60+ k, that its base price could be slightly more than a convertible like 55 k for example...Is there any chance? Something about 60+ k seems high

Their are some thinking $70,000 +.I myself think they will be in the $60,000-$65,000 price range.About $15,000 over a C6 vert.But with what you could be getting with it thats a steal.

I think there is a chance because of the projection by Hill of about 1/5 of C6's being Zo6's. Get the price up too high and that percentage would have to come way down.

A faltering memory?
I thought I remember someone quoting Dave Hill that they were trying to bring the Z06 replacement for near the same cost. I read that as a 8-10K premium over the base model with equivilent features. So if it is based off the SB model (for the seats etc.) it would 8-10K more than that. I don't see where that gets us over $60K. Perhaps I am getting old and confusing dreams and reality.

Another NUTTY price thread...
There seems to be an element here who WANTS the price to be exorbitant on the Z06. There is no reason to believe that the Z06 is going to be drastically increased in price over the previous model.
If it is, then GM should have released that info so we could have bought the 2004 C5 Z06's and they wouldn't have had to discount them $11k or more.
The economy is limping forward. Interest rates are about to come up. GM offers a 50hp increase over the previous generation Corvette with lots of new goodies for very little price increase. All of that, but we are to believe the Z06 will be $65,000.00 - $70,000.00.
