It's personal preference of course, and I'm sure there will be more than enough people knocking down GM's doors to get the first year Z, but I'm not one who needs to be the first on my block to get one. Hell, where I live, people are more likely to get Porch's anyway, so even after three years, I WILL be the first on my block to get a Z!

Also...there's nothing wrong with my C5

Let's assume this car is rated 505hp per Chevy. That's ~430rwhp. I'd like to see the cam+header combo that nets 120+rwhp
Exactly. 550 REAR WHEEL horsepower with just those mods is ridiculous. There's no way.

Actually, that may be quite possible working with 7.0L engine. I gained 95 fwhp with LG cam and headers + UD pulley.

Personnally I think this is the cruelest post ever! I mean he is a dealer, and dealers do get information that they can't share, so why in the h&^& come on here and rub it in our faces that he knows, but can't tell.....

I have also known some about the engine and some drive train parts. If the rest of the car measures up this will be one hell of a car.

No one can say more now.

All I was trying to do is let everyone know that there is more to come on this car that will please everyone. We all have just 39 days to wait.

I have a question for you Rick that I think you can answer without jeopardizing your sources. We're all fairly certain of most things like a 7.0L 500 hp V8, Titanium connecting rods, titanium intake valves, sodium-filled exhaust valves larger tires, brakes, etc. Are there any surprises in store for us in January that none of our forum sources have mentioned?

Believe what you want, but the information out so far says it is possible. The LS7 are supposably variants of the C5R head and flow in the mid to high 300cfm range, the intake is supposably higher flow than the LS2 with at least a 90mm TB and it is pretty much a known that GM won't put tuned headers on it. So, according to LG's post, with heads that flow less and a worse intake, he nailed 560 + rwhp. So, I still say 550rwhp or more with cam and headers(tuning is implied, though).

Nobody seems to be saying no to the 427 rumor, Rick

and dealers pass on bad information as well. Remember the dealer that saw the C6 a few weeks before the 2004 Detroit NAIAS and informed us here that the removeable targa roof was a 2 piece design... like "T" Tops???

and if I remember correctly... he also said "you can take that to the bank".
