Can someone give me a little help?
I want to get a C6 and a guy I know has one for sale, its an 07 red coupe, 6 speed 1 owner, now here is the BUT, its got 58k miles and he wants 26,900. I think the milage is to high for that price, what do you people think, should I pass and keep looking?
Thanks for your time and advice.

Check this one out. It's a few more bucks, and a lot fewer miles...

i have an '07 6 speed w z51 package ~12,000 miles. a dealer offered me $27,500 trade in on a new Z06. I would say the one you are looking at is overpriced by 3-4K.

Mileage does devalue a car - moreover it 'scares' lots of buyers away if only because they can find cars, especially Corvettes, with considerably lower miles. That would potentially drive me away from the one you wrote about - unless I could prove to myself that it was the best value.
So if it were me, I would work hard at scouting out other C6, 6 speed coupes in the 06, 07, 08 model years and see what I can find in the approx the same price range with lower miles. And please remember that asking rices and actual selling prices are often thousands and thousands of dollars different. If for example you see and 08 and they want 37,500, they may actually take say 32,500 out the door - you don't know till you get down to the nitty gritty. Try: Corvette Forum Cars For Sale - autotrader.com - cars.com - ebay
And best of luck

Keep looking. There are plenty of Corvettes out there for sale. My advice is always to buy the newest with the lowest miles that you can afford.

A clutch job will run you about $1,000.00 and I would suspect it could be getting close. Tires are expensive as well, I paid $1600.00 for my ps2's. I would work on getting his price down.

I have had the best luck by far on Craig's list for local low mileage one owner cars at good prices. Do not be afraid to make an offer for what you would like to pay for the car irregardless of what they are asking. I bought a 2007 convert last summer from the original owner with every option available and 2,751 miles and bought it for $6,500 less than what they were asking for it.
