Default For sale: Fear it !!

CAR IS SOLD SOLD SOLD>>>>>> SOLD to a super cool guy JD2012....I am sure he will be around the forums from now on.

Houston Texas
Edward E. Butte
1-800-283-2031

PM me or call me!
Take a look at everything that has been done on this car and then see the price at the bottom....

2008 C6, LS3, Manual, W/only 19k miles: 700HP & 630 Tq ft/lb
Not only is the car like new w/low miles but it has ONLY 1,500 Miles on all the upgrades that produced this 700HP!

Why are you selling the car?
May need a 4 seater in the future.

For sale is my 2008 black 1lt model coupe, with approximatley 18k miles. It is for the performance enthusiast. It is modified but feels and runs like stock until you push the pedal enough and the boost kicks in.

Basics:
I am the second owner purchased with approximatley 3000 miles in January 2009.
Only 18,500 miles: that is approximately 3700 miles per year driven.
Garage kept
Clean Car fax. I have been driving since I was 16 - I am 47 now and I have NEVER been in an accident.

Maintenance:
Oil changed Every 4 months regardless of miles driven. Typically with monitor stating 85% + (oil life indicator)! Only Mobil 1 Synthetic and mobil 1 filter used.
Ranger method ( clutch fluid reseviour change) done regularly.
Only used Zaino show car polish and product line.
http://www.zainostore.com/

1lt information
The 1lt model does not come with the 2lt, 3lt or 4lt packages. Which as you read below honestly do not add allot and add nothing to performance. Read below and if you can do without cargo nets, driver seat memory etc. -things IMOP - no one uses. Than you can save thousands.
See below:
*2LT includes rear compartment cargo net, luggage shade, parcel shade, 6-way adjustable power drivers seat.
**3LT includes (in addition to the 2LT items) Upgraded Bose audio with 6 disc CD changer and steering wheel controls, heads up display, driver seat / outside mirrors / steering column memory system, power telescoping steering and universal home remote.
***4LT includes (in addition to the 2LT and 3LT items) leather wrapped interior and bias pattern center console plate.

PLEASE NOTE: None of the options packages above add anything to performance and all came standard with the same engine:
Std. Engine, 6.2L LS3 V8 SFI 430hp at 5900 RPM,
424f/p Torque @4600 RPM

Also Corvettes come standard with some really cool stuff already including:
Standard Leather Seating, REMOVABLE TOP!!!, Dual Zone Auto HVAC, Keyless access with pushbutton start( this is not even a standard option on a E350 Mercedez Benz!!) , HID Head Lamps with automatic exterior lamp control, Active Handling, Sound System with CD Player and MP3 playback, Fog lamps, Power Hatch Release.

My Corvette has a manual transmission and from a performance stand point is key.... here is a quote from an article I read:
"Z06 and base model have a 5.21:1 spread from low to high (2.66:1 from low to 4th). The race ready car has a closer gearbox, and so does the base model Vette compared to the the wider Z51, particularly in the 1st to 4th range which is what matters in almost all racing. Closer ratios mean the engine can be kept closer to the power peak in all out racing."
So the key is that it has the same set up as the ZO6.

Performance modifications:

Speaking of speed now we get into the good stuff. Below is a list of the performance modifications that were done on this car: Note the base model w/manual was already fast and the agreed upon consensus in magazines/forum/Cheverolet was approximately 4.3 seconds 0-60 and quarter mile in approximately 12.3.

First let me point out that this is my only hobby and my only expense! I love doing modifications and have been a shade tree mechanic and car enthusiast my whole life. I do not race at the track and I have never raced this car at the track. I would lie to you if I told you I did not race a couple of Porches, CTSVs, and a ZR1 locally on occasion but these races were less than a quarter mile each and I could count the amount of races I have done on the street on one or perhaps two hands .

Note: that nothing was done internally to this engine....no big CAM, nothing to pistons, or rods...nothing. Everything was external. Engine is still stock with a supercharger and add on goodies like headers etc. So no worries of some mechanic ruining the integrity of the OEM engine.

Supercharger, headers, meth, tune etc. professionally installed at England Green in Houston Texas. 10/12/12. I did research for approximately a year before going with them due to their reputation and honesty and glowing customer reviews. Note that this car does not have a big cam so it runs exactly like a stock vehicle (no changes were made to the cam) until you push the pedal and go into boost!ONLY 1,500 Miles on all the upgrades below!!

Spark plugs: NGK TR6
Intercooler: A&A custom: discusses intercooler in kit description
http://www.aacorvette.com/supercharg...roducts_id=433
What did these performance upgrades do? see the graph below:

Note the fantastic tuning that England Green did with a conservative 11.81 A/F ratio on the dyno and the 10 psi of boost.
Add 15% to those numbers ( as they are wheel numbers) to compare them with the advertised crank HP and Torque numbers that all cars quote. This then gives you approximately 706 HP to the crank and 633 Torque. This is the number that you would use to compare HP numbers to other cars quoted HP and torque numbers.

Exhaust clip:

For example: Compare this cars 706Hp and 633 lbs/ft torque with the 100k+ Corvette ZR1 which has 638 HP and 604 lbs/ft torque. Or the Shelby GT500 which is over 68k with 662 HP and 631 lb/ft of torque. Both are lower with the Zr1 costing 3 times more than this car and the GT500 approximately 2 times as much.
I suspect that this is at least a sub 11 quarter mile car perhaps lower with the right driver and track tires etc. The Zr1 I raced by the way did not win and the ZR1 is approximatley a 11 second quarter mile car.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus we all know these are rated as one of the best tires available for the Vette.
Installed on 2/10/2011 car had approximately 12k miles on it. So they have only 6k miles on them so they are almost like new. These exact tires are now standard equipment on the new Vette.

All lights side markers, tails professionally darkened/painted. Note that although darkened these lights passed inspection in Texas! Referred from England Green to the guys below for their custom paintwork. Fantastic job...I used to have the black out covers, hated them. So glad I got them done the right way! Cost: $300
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/sout...paintwork.html
Fuel rail covers: Custom black satin accent again this is custom and no one has this.

All performance modification and visual modifications add up to at least 20k. Reciepts available for everything and links above prove it. The modifications done at England Green alone cost 11,115.10, wheels and tires 2,500, Corsa Axel back 1,000+ thats already approximately 15k. Now look at all the rest above! Most say you can recover 50% of what you spend on modifications if done tastefully and if those modifications do not compromise the drivability of the car. I believe I have done just that. However, for the sake of argument and for a quick sale I will sell the car with the options priced at 1/3 the value of the modification instead of half! So you get 20k +(stopped adding when I hit 20k) in upgrades for 6667 dollars. Thats essentially the price of the supercharger and you get all the rest for free!?!?

Base model 1lt KBB value approximately 32k.
http://www.kbb.com/chevrolet/corvett...=private-party
Please note that this car definately qualifies as excellent so it should be priced at 32734 however Ill price it at one level lower at approximately 32k for a quick sale.
Now take 32k add 6667 dollars in upgrades and you get a fair price of: 38,667.

I will price it then at 38,667.. This is a sick deal for anyone who wants a performance car ready to go. Clean as hell with approximately 18k miles. A ZR1 killer for 1/3 the price of a ZR1. I believe that this is a fair price straight up but I am open to negotiations.

On top of that I will include for FREE the three 2008 service manuals like brand new - cost is approximately 150 dollars and a Corvette car cover almost never used ( car was always in garage )..purchased from Corvettes of Houston color; grey -cost approximately 120 dollars.
Thats another 270 dollars thrown in for free....try getting anything like that from a dealership!!

This honestly is dirty for it...!! Its a little dusty due to the pollen in this area.

Lets analyze that statement:

A z51 had absolutely no power upgrades over the stock C6.

Z51s only advantage was for the person who tracked the car...no advantage in the quarter mile at all.
So only suspension upgrades......

stiffer springs and stabilizer bars, specific shock absorbers...
Thats all...if you do track it...you can add better aftermarkets for minimal cost and have 700 Hp too...but if you dont race around corners...completely useless.

The Z51 also had Larger brakes with cross-drilled rotors...
However, the TSW wheels I have on the car have enough clearance to add the zo6 big brakes...so again minimal cost to add, you get better brakes and 700HP too. ...no advantage there.

The Z51-had a specific 6-speed manual transmission I will refer you to the following:
My Corvette has a manual transmission and from a performance stand point is key.... here is a quote from an article I read:
"Z06 and base model have a 5.21:1 spread from low to high (2.66:1 from low to 4th). The race ready car has a closer gearbox, and so does the base model Vette compared to the the wider Z51, particularly in the 1st to 4th range which is what matters in almost all racing. Closer ratios mean the engine can be kept closer to the power peak in all out racing."
So the advantage goes to the base manual which is the same as the ZO6.

6 HP...more...? That didnt increase quarter times at all... Versus 700 HP where mine stands today?

My Corsa Xtreme axel backs added more than that....look better, dont look like two straws in the back (completely fill up the area) and sound crazy good.

Truth ^ but the HP increase was so small it was irrelvant to performance and it didnt improve quarter mile times - 6 HP wont improve much. You could probably dyno a stock coupe vs a Z51 and that 6 HP deviation would not even show up to the wheels...LOL.. ...your right however it did have more than a normal stock coupe 6 hp more. I understand you point...

No, I do not know who Marks is. I bought this car 100% stock on January 2009 with approximately 3k miles on it. Everything was OEM at that time... all the way down to its brushed aluminum rims.
