Default Is Grand Sport possible for mid to low 30s?

I'm looking to step up to a C6... pricing I see on most GS coupes is $40-44k (seems to be independent of year.. which is interesting). Is it possible to find a decently optioned GS (say 2011?) out there for mid to low $30s? What are your thoughts??

You probably won't find it on this forums... it seems most people overprice here...

YES! They pop up here and there. They go quick, but the 2010's with 30k+ on the clock are going for that and there only going down in value just like all cars, so I'm sure if you wait until this fall and winter you'll find one no problem.

Sold mine for 34,500 (2011 2LT 37k miles, very nice) but not on the forum...lots of hats here no cattle though. Folks will say you can't find one but when they do show up you can't find buyers on the forum willing to step up. Sold it from CL ad. Forum is an interesting dichotomy when it comes to buying and selling.

I agree. It's entertaining to say the least. It's more of a fantasy land, people's cars are worthless when they are searching for a good asking price, but when the members put the exact same car up it's 20% above retail. In C6 gen they actually believe that their GS's are increasing in value

I had a dealer in Houston, TX tell me they would sell a '10 GS coupe, white w red/blk int, 3LT, A6, 44k, brand new tires, clean carfax for $34,444 out the door 2 days ago. So that would be a few hundred over $33,000 before TX tt&l. The salesman said they accepted an offer from someone else for $34,500 plus tt&l before I could respond (was checking price via email).

There was a 1LT Inferno Orange A6 GS coupe with 60k that was posted a month or so on here for $29,000 with quite a few getting in line to snap it up. He said he sold locally less than 24hrs later if I remember correctly.

So it seems they're out there that fit your criteria.

Rob

A good looking car for sure... and some perf upgrades, but still only a 1LT car.

I talked to these folks and while they seem legit in that is sounds like Ebay car sales is what they do (not a one off), the car was in what he called "a minor" accident. They replaced the front bumper, one of the fenders was repaired and repainted and the hood was repainted. The vehicle report shows that it was either a rental or leased vehicle. So while it looks good int the pics I wonder what it really is like up close.

I did find a somewhat local 10 GS with 19k miles, one owner and 3LT with Nav and dual mode exhaust etc. So pretty much loaded, the only other things I might care about that it doesn't have is the magnetic ride control and two roof package (has the polycarb roof). I drove it and it drives nice, some roof creaking but I think a normal roof service will fix that... We're still negotiating but he's currently down under $40k. I'll post back when we complete the deal.
