FS 2007 Z06, Silver/Black/Silver, 2LZ, 7500mi, $39,500, Kansas City
SOLD SOLD SOLD !!
I am selling my dad's 2007 Z06 (Corvette #14!). He was a car nut - he had everything from a '57 Ford to a Street Hemi, to Jeeps, to 14 Corvettes - C3s, C4s, C5s, and C6s. He consistently had a Corvette for the last 20 years of his life. I took him with me to pick up my '96 15 years ago. I got my love of Corvettes from him. We were both very picky about our cars. I have kept the Z06 in my garage since I lost him a year-and-a-half ago. He bought the car from the original owner in Phoenix, in April, 2008, with 4700 miles, and drove it back to Kansas City. I have driven it about 150 miles, and in the words of my dad, it runs like a striped-a$$ ape!
To be clear, I will handle everything with the car - any issues with the sale, calls, correspondence, etc. My mom has the clear title. It sits in my garage and I am taking care of it.
On to the car...
The car is a 2007 Corvette Z06, Machine silver metallic with black/silver interior. Extremely low mileage, <7500. 2LZ option package (side airbags, heated seats, steering wheel radio controls, memory seat, auto dimming rear view mirror, power telescopic wheel, heated outside mirrors), navigation, chrome wheels. It still smells new!
Everything works as you would expect with such low miles.
To that effect, I have looked over the car very carefully, and there are a few things we want to make sure the next owner is aware of.
- Will need tires soon - it has the original tires.
- Scuff on front nose (present when car was purchased)
- Small curb rash on left rear and front wheels (also present when car was purchased)
- The car had to sit outside for approximately a year while repairs were done on my parents' house. The car was driven and washed to keep it going.
- It has a minor oil leak that I had a dealer address during an oil change, but they didn't get it right and there is a drop of oil on the garage floor after it runs for a while. I intend to have that looked at again soon but have not had time to do that.
Despite my efforts to clean it up I still think it needs a little more work to be completely perfect. I have put four coats of Zaino on it and have spent considerable time cleaning wheels, engine bay, etc. It's not perfectly spotless but it is a beautiful example of a low-mileage 2007 Z06 that is sure to please its new owner. Please take a look at the pictures and contact me with questions.
Before anyone asks, the heads have not been checked. I have listened really closely for excessive lifter noise and I cannot hear anything. I called five places in Kansas City and tried to explain what I wanted to be checked (Corvette Village, Don Freely Auto Clinic, Vintage Vettes, Cable Dahmer, Hendrick, formerly Superior Chevrolet) but none of these places knew what I was talking about. Or maybe I wasn't talking to the right person. Anyway, point being, if you are interested, and you can suggest someone in the KC area to check the heads, I would be happy to have them checked. I found someone in Omaha who knows about the head issues, but I don't have the time to take the car to Omaha.
Given the minor issues above (tires and minor scuffs) we have priced this car to sell at $39,500. I'd prefer to sell it to someone who is a Corvette nut and will appreciate the car. I will not give the car away and we are not forced to sell it.
Email me at (remove spaces) yellow 96 lt4 -at- yahoo if interested.
Thank you for reading.

Update - oil pan gasket has been replaced as it was definitely leaking, and the leaked oil was cleaned up under the car. The car also had a proper differential service done with the figure 8s, two changes, etc. $1500 worth of work. It is much smoother now and drives like a new car - it really is a pleasure to drive!

Nice sell! And I can't even sell my 06Z and it is at $32k with fixed heads and pretty much stock. Despite the 62k miles it is well taken care of.
