2012 ZR1 Centennial Edition - Calif - ONE OWNER - 4,130 Miles - $79,500
If you check my recent posts you will see that I have been on the hunt for my personal 'bucket list' Z06 or ZR1. I am looking for a very low mileage & special car and have looked at many in the past few months. I found 'The One' for me and will be excited to show it off to you guys once it lands in my garage (A 60th Anniversary Z06/Z07!).
At the same time I was in the process of finding my Z06/Z07, I found a very close 2nd choice under very unique circumstances. So close that I decided to also buy this car knowing that I will be reselling it.
So here is the story on this ZR1:
This is a 2012 Centennial Edition ZR1. I purchased the car from the original owner who is in his mid-70's. The car was found on a tip from a friend - it has never been advertised or for sale before. The gentleman who owned this ZR1 is a retired car nut who lives on a very private compound in San Diego County (California). He owns 5 other muscle cars (and numerous other vehicles). He purchased this Corvette from his local Chevy dealer (less than 20 miles from his home) with 4 miles on it. With less than 100 miles on it he had clear bra paint protection added to the front fenders, front splitter, rear fenders (around the rear brake ducts), in front of the rear-view mirrors and the entire hood. This car was purchased in May, 2012. Three months later the owner and his wife took to car on a two week, tri-state road trip. They put almost 4,000 on the car during this trip. Thats it! After the trip in 2012, the owner parked the car next to his other Corvettes, big block SS Chevelle and Hemi Mopars. He does not have it insured to be driven and has only driven the car around his block for the past 5 years!! There are no other modifications to this car other than the clear bra. In fact, when he came home from his trip, he washed the car, changed the oil himself (he has lifts on his property) and has only dusted the car off occasionally in the past 5 years. It definitely could use a good professional detail (which I will do shortly). I am 95% sure (but no guarantees) that this ZR1 also has the ZR1 High Performance Package option as it is equipped with the super sticky Pilot Sport Cup tires (with plenty of tread left). I am a detail nut and have owned multiple Z06's in the past. This is a no-excuses one owner car. The only negative I could find was that the front windshield has some light pitting which is very common on any other C6 that has been on the road. I want to be completely transparent and honest on this vehicle. I have both keys, the owners manual, the owners vehicle brochure and the dealership 2012 sales brochure. Of course it has a clean California title.
I have yet to do the research on total ZR1 Centennial production (feel free to chime in on this) but suffice it to say that this is a rare find on a one owner, unmolested limited edition ZR1 (and only way to get a ZR1 with the gorgeous Carbon Flash Metallic paint). Price is $79,500 and firm. Quite reasonable for such a low milage example.
Also, it should go without saying but if you don't have something nice to say, then please don't say anything at all. If you like the car, great. If you would like to buy the car, then super great - PM me. If you don't like the car or the sales price then move on to a different thread.
These photos are of the car 5 minutes after we pulled it out of the storage garage (first time in 4 months). It had a layer of dust on it but still looks great!

And no matter what color the car is, the spoiler is always black.

That is correct. And on the Centennial Edition the spoiler has the flat black stripes that run across the top of the car.

Wow did not know they came with a different spoiler then the Centennial Z06 and GS. My Centennial GS has the regular ZR1 style spoiler. Your spoiler looks more like the the Ron Fellows one. See pics. Centennial pic has the ZR-1 spoiler. Silver Corvette has the Ron Fellows.

Ironically this looks like an early press picture of the centennial Z and it has the wrong spoiler on it. The PDE package included the pilot sport tires and the 'full width' spoiler which is what the car for sale has, and is correct. You could get a centennial Z with the standard spoiler if you didn't opt for the PDE package.
Also, the car is still available - I'm surprised nobody has snatched it up yet.
