Prices for toys will continue to tank big time until interest rates go back down one day way in the future, all that free covid lockdown money given away has to be paid back someway...

This is true but not so for collector's items. People who collect aren't affected by interest rates, they buy cash. We will continue seeing downside because of inflation and ludicrous rates for sure.

Nice hearty discussion. Lots of good points. I guess it's a good thing I have options.

I noticed when I discovered BAT over a year ago, they averaged about 350 vehicles in there. I see now it is well over 700 vehicles. Just the pure volume is gonna drive down prices. I just don't get BAT...as I would never buy sight unseen. There is a YouTube video of a guy that bought (big bucks)a rare muscle car from BAT and found out it was a piece of crap when shipped to him.

The only zr1s I forsee continuing to raise are the manual c7s, dealers are in a bind as now they're upside on inventory, so we'll be seeing good deals pop up.

Things like Ford gt's and other limited cars will soften, but definitely not going back to precovid levels, as i assume investors are using them as a hedge

The c7 will not/has not aged well, it looks like it belongs in the transformers movies, thanks to the Camaro actually being part of that movie, the c7 followed those designs unfortunately. Clean timeless designs age well, that's why the c3 is worth significantly less than the c1/c2's

I'm only referring to the c7 ZR1, which looks great imo. Less than 1000 ZTK manuals I believe

Take a look at C7 ZR1 prices. They're going nowhere.

The world's about to go into the biggest recession in history, everything will plummet in value.

Maybe a bit of a stretch, but then again, I'm not an economist..
When we look at crashes in the past, with the exception of 08, they didn't have the quality of companies we do now. We've already ha the worst start in the last 50 years in the market, it can only go so low until it capitulates

is it going up in value, or is your money becoming worth less?

Personally I think 80,500 on BAT was reasonable and you will have to take less than that now if you want to sell. Market is soft. Higher mile ones are 65k. You don’t have to post a reply but think about what your highest offer in the past two months has been. after two months on here and a BAT auction which typically brings in the highest prices a car can get I’m sure the pool of buyers has seen it.

Market is softer on everything, ZR1’s will always hold their value and the value of these cars will continue to climb. People are just scared to spend money right now. I’ve gotten about 20 calls over the past month from various dealers I’ve purchased cars from trying to get me to come into their dealership.

f80 m3/m4 are approaching used Camry prices $33-35k all day now. Market is VERY soft. Cargurus says vettes have dropped another 4-5% just since September. The value of something is what you can sell it for relatively quick not take months and months. Wait til they make these clowns start paying back their student loans.

no money for cars when student loan deferral resumes. RIP
