I put a deposit down on the C6 at my dealer, and he's saying base is 44.5K.. Don't know where you heard 52... but I'm glad it's not 52!

Maybe even a little higher, if you get some of the high-end options that aren't available on C5, like the nav system.

I'll chime in at 53000 to 55000 for a Loaded Coupe and 60000 to 63000 for a Loaded convertible.

At present , I have coupes on my lot that are not fully loaded up to 51500.00. They are not equipped with Onstar, homelink, heated seats, etc. and they are not equipped with a 2000 navagational system.

I have yet to order a base coupe with no options. And keep in mind that even the base price off the car does not include the 800 destination fees that are tacked on to every Corvette.

Just my thoughts.

Have a Great Day

I just traded my trusty '96 C4 with 26,000 mls. for a brand spankin' new 2004 C5 yesterday ..... one of our big local dealers is taking $7500 off the retail price, plus $2000 Chevy rebate or 0% financing for 60 months on all 2004s in stock. They sold A TON of 04 Vettes last week with this deal.
They also had a loaded brand new 2003 leftover convertible, auto with all options incl. mag ride for only $44,899 bottom dollar.

I just couldn't resist and got me a nice 04 mag Red automatic coupe with all avail. options, except Z51 or selective mag ride. They wouldn't even talk about C6 yet....it'll be retail or whatever the market gives (last time it was $1500 to 3000 over retail for the first year).

You made a wise move picking up an '04 for that kind of discount

I don't understand ponying up MSRP + price gouging markup just to get a new model 'right away'.

Better deals come to those who wait. Especially to those who can wait and don't mind getting last year's or year before last's model with a few well maintained miles on it... I am curious to see what kind of deals will start surfacing on pre-owned '02 and '03's once the C6 is on dealer lots and the real scramble begins... I personally hope the used market somehow gets glutted w/ LT4's, lol, I'd love to pick one up for cheap

Keep in mind that the General always offers new models with low base pricing to bait you. Then the options start growing. The price will go up several times over the next year or so and then more and more options become standard on the base. That's my observation.
