Default New LPE hood for C6 available wk of 10/3/2005

We plan to release a new aftermarket hood for the C6 the week of October 3.

It is based on the hood on our Commemoritive car, with modifications to clear the new Magnuson C6 supercharger.
We plan to have this hood available the week of October 3, and I will post some pics of the first prototypes as soon as possible.

We are also currently working on a C6 Magnuson based supercharger package and should have performance numbers soon. This should be a very nice package, the Magnuson has proven to be a reliable performer on the C5, so I expect similar performance from the C6.

feel free to let me know if I can answer any questions,

Ed

Is the C6 pakage going to continue the use of an Eaton M112 or will it come with the more recent M120 unit? Thanks

Hi Jeremy

I haven't actually seen it yet, Magnuson is shipping us one ASAP, but I assue it's the same 112 that is currently available. As soon as we get it, we will start doing dyno work, and get some results posted.

Hi Ed,
Thanks for the reply. I have heard rumors that the M120 might become available on the next gen C6 kit. I am sure you guys will make a great package out of what ever they send

The car is a little "over the top" for me, but I do like the hood!

I think the hood looks pretty nice. Looks alot like the Z06 hood (intake wider and farther back) but similar. I agree with Mike... the rest of the body pieces I could live without.

Thanks guys,
The good news is the hood will be available seperately, and clear a Magnuson!

Ed,

What is the point of using the export car?

Any numbers yet Ed? Price going to be about the same as the C5 setup? I am also guessing that you will a cam and maybe some heads to add to improved results eventually?

Make it faster! Seriously, we have several customers intrested in sending their ZO6's as soon as they get them. I'm thinking the first one will be a bigger cam, and CNC headwork, probably try to free up some airflow, and exhaust.
I bet our C6 airbox will love this car!

As for the Magnuson package, we should have pricing and performance numbers very soon, maybe as early as next week! We have the first kit in hand, and we will be doing work with it on the engine dyno ASAP, then installing it into a customers car, and getting the RWHP numbers taken care of.

I'll keep you posted,

Ed

Looks a lot better than the C5 Mag hood. Is this hood scoop functional other than providing clearance for the blower? How's the water management?
