T Fenton,

I believe I checked out your car the other day and I must say it looks pretty good. Nice flared fenders, carbon fiber interior kit, SC and everything. Burnt orange convertible, right? Black top?

If so, I was going to ask you about what other engine mods and suspension mods you have on that vehicle specifically.

I am only asking because I am guessing my setup will be similar to yours, but was curious as to the details of what engine mods you currently have with your statement of 520 RWHP with your A&A SC kit and how you are "laying it down" as far as traction.

Have you had the opportunity to actually drive the vehicle yet? How was it?

Basically I am just being curious! Thanks!

Have yet to drive it ... but it's probably a week away. Incorrect rear wheels were sent. The mods are as follows: vortech s/c, bilstein sport shocks, hotchkis sway, borla exhaust, B&M shifter and while I wait for the wheels I may install new brakes and will be running 275 up front and 325 in the rear. Even with the Z51 I find to ride to soft. I'd like a little more feel for the road and stability which is why I went for suspension upgrades.

Traction is all in the foot!

OK, I got it. That is your car. That's cool. Is that Hodgekiss sway bar really any better than the Z51 sway bar? I know on the shocks. The Z51 is a little "loose" for my taste. I am going to "upgrade" my suspension too.

Hah! That traction thing is "in the foot". Take it easy, there was some guy who has a ProCharger that "nailed" his front end pretty good. I have already "nailed" mine too (non FI). Just enough un-noticed sand on the road with a heavy foot will get you into trouble quick. Especially with the S/C or T/C. Lesson learned!

I recommend you upgrade your brakes. I think the Z51 brakes are total crap from the factory. Upgrade to some Hawk HPS Plus brake pads, Goodridge SS brake lines, and some decent DOT 4 fluid. Those brakes are going to "squeal" like a pig under normal driving, but when you call on them at high speed. They will stop you like "real" Z51 type brakes should before you get that nasty ABS feedback. Some 6-8 piston calipers with those pads will probably put you through the windshield! LOL!

Yeah, the hotchkis is a stiffer sway bar. I'll take it easy on my car (for the first 5 min )

Can't wait to get back in it....good luck with your car.
