Default C6 Boost questions.

I own a 97 Cobra and am looking to upgrade to either a 03-04 cobra or a C6 corvette. I've had nothing but mustangs since I was 16 but I am considering joining the rest of the family and going with a vette. I am just getting started looking at the vette and have a couple of questions. I would plan on adding a supercharger so hopefully you guys could help me out.

1. How much HP is the C6 block capable of? How much HP are the stock internals capable of handling?

2. What is the compression of the stock C6?

I'd like to get around 500-550 RWHP and I know it's pretty easy with the Cobra. I am just seeing what it would take to get a C6 around the same power levels. Thanks

So far I have personally seen several C6 prochargers put down 600+rwhp with out any problems, I know one guy was runing 650 on an auto. I personally would not push it that far, but you can with a safe tune easily run 550 or so with headers, you must run headers to get to full extent of the s/c.

10:9 to 1, yes it is a lot but if you keep the psi at 7 to 8 you are still in the 16:1 - 18:1 static compression range.

I have owned mustangs too and I promise you if you buy the c6 you will never go back.

One other thing, make sure you buy a 2006 or 7, the 05 had a weak rear end, beefed up in the 06

I just did the Procharger. Had a safe tune with a GM Tech II tuner. Laying down a little over 500 RWHP with DYnamax 17/8 headers. I was told the stock fuel system is good to 550 without changes except for the injectors Procharger gives you. That is the P1SC with 6 Lbs of boost.

The C6 block (LS2 block) is capable of supporting huge amounts of power if built properly.

550-600 rwhp should be a walk in the part with any LS1/2/6 block and a power adder.

My fuel pump could not keep up at top end. Installed Kenne Bell booster.
