Is it necessary to pin the crank when installing a Procharger D1SC?

The ProCharger comes supplied with the pin.

The LS2 harmonic balancer is just held in by an interference fit and the retaining bolt tightening torque, with the ProCharger's added power at the crank and higher loads on the pulley can make the balancer spin right off the front of the crank.

Its not so much spin off the crank is that it will spin on the crank, also very bad.

Is it for all LSX engines also? Or are the LS6 or LS7 not needed to pin?

It's really not that hard to do. Getting everything out of the way to accomplish the task is the major part of the work. That, and getting the %^$#!?*# crank bolt loose! That part is a PITA!
