Default TaDaaaah !

99.9% finished. Just a few minor details, so took the car out for a quick spin (get it? spin ) The car is much faster (duh). It was a cool day, 47* this afternoon. Wheel spin in 1st and 2nd is about 1/2 inch of throttle pedal away. Anytime you want it, it's right there under your right foot. Just drove around the area and never got over 50 mph. Drove for around 30 minutes. I was disappointed that the coolant temp hit 212*. I was expecting much lower with the bigger radiator, electric pump and 160* t'stat, especially with a 47* outside temp. I may pop the stock water pump on just to see if there is a difference. But, that will be after Thanksgiving. I'm really glad the drudge of the install is over. Figured about 65+ hours over two weeks, solo. Now the fun starts. Going to install some new valve covers, relocate the coils with new brackets, and billet fuel rails. The valve covers arrived today, and the remaining stuff probably in the next few days. I'll post pix when it's all done. For now, think I'll rest a bit, analyze my CEL and enjoy not working on the car until after Thanksgiving. Thanks for all the help and support. Ya'll have a graet Thanksgiving.

Have you not read the tread from Big Bollas about the IC adjustment, adding a electric water pump was a waste of time and money, its just not necessary unless you are doing some serious racing. Big Bollas droped 25 degrees just by moving the IC forward 1.5". On a 46 degree day you should not see more than 185 F.

All the water pump does is move the water, the problem is the water is not being cooled in the radiator because the IC is in the way and restricting it.

Yes, I've read the thread on moving the intercooler forward. My install actually provided about 3/4" spacing without any modification. Plus, I'm using a Ron Davis 57mm radiator, which is approx. 60% larger than stock, so, i nitially I thought it would not be necessary to relocate it. Maybe I will have to, but that will be a little later. Today I must track down my CEL, and go shred some tires.
