just wondering who is running the blow off valve with or without the filter to make it quiet. of course mine is off i want it loud as possible just wondered if i am the only one and if it is audible with it on?
will any blow off valve bolt onto the piping. looks like they all have one of 2 bolt patterns. tial and one other
I welded a 1.5" pipe (shown) to the flange included on the Vortech Race Valve. Also, the Vortech unit does not have the fluttering sound that I found to be annoying.
Im going to get APS kit installed next week. I want mine to be loud. What do you do?
Very cool, good luck with your APS kit!!! I've noticed the Bosch BOVs included with the kit emits a nice subtle sound, if your looking for more sound, venting to the atmosphere maybe an option...since I run a speed density tune (mafless), I may go this route in the future.
Another option would be to replace the Bosch units with a direct replacement piece like the Hyperboost unit:

Jeremy,
For the s/c application, the Vortech Race or the Tial unit is suggested. The Hyperboost sounds nice on a turbo car, my buddy uses it on his Audi TT.
Brian at ICS Performance currently uses a HKS SSQV on his ProCharged C5Z, sounds wicked.
