Default Average coolant temps w/ ATI

I am running anywhere from 199-215 depending on driving conditions. Is this what all you guys are seeing? This is after driving all day in Houston. Temps today were upper 70's with 82% humidity.

FYI. Here's my setup: ProCharger, Meziere electric water pump, Ron Davis 57mm radiator with internal oil cooler, 160* t'stat, DynaTech headers, cats, and X pipe, and forward relocated intercooler. Yesterday, 65*: At 70 mph cruise, coolantn temp was 178*, oil temp was 188*. In traffic: coolant was 210*, oil temp was 216*. The fan cycles on at 216*, which I think is too high. I will be getting a dyno tune in Janurary, and I will lower the fan cycling temp ranges. I want a 200* max temp before the fans cycle.

Look at your intercooler and see if it has a gap on the backside by the A/c condensor on theb bottom by the air dam.

If you dont have a gap you need to look for my post so that you can do the "BB Intercooler Mod".

My temps are sticing around 176-190 at the highest with the AC!
I will be out and about today in the Houston area, give me a buzz if you need more info.
I will PM you my number
Air gap is critical to proper cooling of your engine as well as IAT's. Here in South Texas our summers are brutal. Without the mod BB speaks of, chances are good that you will be running too hot in the summer.

I constantly monitor my coolant temps. I run about 198 even in 58 degree weather and that is cruising at 70-75 mph. If their is a slight incline on the freeway, the temp can go up to 207 or so, even in 58 degree weather, and on a decline can go a little lower than 198. In the summer, it is plus or minus a few at cruising at decent speeds, but in traffic in the hot 100 degree summer, I can hit the 220's once in a while, and the AC becomes intermittent. I definitely need to do Big Bollas mod!!!!

185-200 depending on the driving variables, i.e. 5 o'clock traffic or crusing...

I see you have an 05. If you have intermittent AC problems, have you had refrigerant adjusted as required by service bulletin? I passed my AC problem off as a casualty of supercharger until my servicing dealer performed required work. It now is freezout even in 100 degree days.

You might also need to remove a little freon if that's a high pressure sensor trip on the ac compressor.

Correct... Many, MANY of us had this issue... Take out some freon and you'll be amazed...

I took this suggestion this summer and let 1/2-1lb of freon out of the compressor and voila', no more AC issues.
