Default piping issues

okay i am out playing around yesterday and i loose one side of the intercooler piping. of course it makes a horrible noise as i slow down from xxx mph..( yeah 3 x's)! go to look under car and it is jammed under cross member. i still have the worm gear clamps on there but i had them so tight i broke a couple and had to get more so i know they where not loose. i am at 5 psi of boost and want more but this can't happen agian so here is my question. will t clamos help? what about having a new pipe made that gets rid of all the couplers. i mean do we really need so damn many pieces. my thought is run 1 from blower to i/c pipe. then have new pipe fabed up to run from the blower to the intercoolers 90 degree coupler that has the blow off valve welded on as well. this would make one piece out of 6! any thoughts

oh and where can i get a new 90 elbow....if all else fails!

I don't think its the clamps. I suspect that the metal tubes are lacking a suitable griping surface.

Check these folks out. Good luck

i would think that to if the tubes didn't have a bead on them. the bead should keep the rubber couplers on if tightened correctly.....should lol! i guess ruffing up the ends of the pipeing can not hurt. i hope the extra grip from the silicone and the better t clamps help the issue. i can see where the worm gear clamps just pull from one area

years ago I had a high boost mustang GT, and I used self tapping screws into the clamp and into the pipe...
this solved the problem
