Default What should i do....plz help

1st off I live in a small country in the middle-east called Qatar. It’s very hot in here almost all year long (85 degree weather is normal here) with lots of humidity and sand every where I have a 2005 c6 auto. My vette is a daily driver; it's my only car right now. Anyways, I want to add power to it and I think forced induction is the way to go.

There are no shops here that are welling to do anything to a vette. So I will have to take my car to one of the near countries like UAE or Bahrain for the install. Because of that I want to buy everything myself from the net and I want to be sure that what I am doing is right other wise I am in deep hole. I can't just keep taking my car there every time I need something. So, this upgrade has to be a one time thing, Everything I need all at one go.

That said I am looking to make my car a 450hp at the wheel as a minimum. TT, supercharge, or heads and cam. Which ever way is fine by me as long as 2 things happen:

1.I want it to be my daily driver...
2.I can’t pay more than 12,000$ for the parts right now.

Thank you in advance for the help, if you have any question please ask

If I was in your position,
I would do an ECS Paxton supercharger.

You should contact ECS directly at 609 752 0321.

I have an APS TT kit (and love it), but given your requirements and the lack of close support...I would go with heads/cam.

You'll hit your HP goal and naturally aspirated is more trouble-free and requires less maintenance then forced induction, hands down.

Default I agree

I thought that too...However with heads and cam i would requier alot more work from the shop than a supercharger or TT....that said is thier a way i can get a full package of heads and cam, that all what the shop would requier to do is put them on and then dyno tune it???

I guess I don't understand how a heads and cam package is more work then a TT or supercharger install. Some of the sponsors here sell head/cam install kits that come with gaskets and everything that you need for the install.

Default Well

Shops over here know alot about japanes cars but know almost nothing about american sport cars. I guess what i am saying i don't trust anyone of them with the work...As far as supercharger goes i believe it's less parts ( mybe i am wrong). If i can get everything i need for a heads and cam package then i will...Which should do you think has the best numbers and drivability heads and cam...........??

Any tuners are welcome to join in and help a fellow vette owner

I'll leave that to the folks that have gone the heads/cam route recently.

We have a shop that we deal with out of Bahrain. We ship them whole motors with complete tunes and many other combinations. If you like PM me and I'll get all the info to you. We have plenty of recipes to get you the power you want reliably.

Default Well

What would be the positive/nagative of a TT....??

Also, what kinda numbers would i be looking at???

And don't you think with a TT traction would be a major problem?

Finally how much for a TT package and which shop has it??

Thanx for the help buddy

I would be a little nervous about a twin turbo system unless you have someone with alot of experiance in install and tuning. Would not want to be the guinee pig for any F/I project for that matter.

Heads and cam pkg would be the cheapest and easyer of the three you mentioned. You would be very close to 450rwhp +or- on an auto tranny with the right cam. Might be safer with a lot of sand flying around as well.

True we have alot of sand here flying everywhere...I think in all 3 cases i will ba taking a risk, just cuz the tuner would be in a different country...So, can you amagine if something goes wrong

Heads and cam up until now make the most sense from everything i have read...Supercharger comes 2nd , and TT distance 3rd....

Anyone whiching to change that with some new ideas or ways to look at it

www.hpturbos.com is the place you want to be! the systems they sell i have only heard good stuff about. and there kits come complete with fuel system. AND they will handle MUCH more power from a simple (well its not quiet simple with theis kit! lol) turbo swap.

also they have sold overseas to! speak to Corvette$ever on here. he is in dubi.

also Mr Big has one of there kits.

thanks CHris.

It sounds and look great.....Don't know if it's for me though???
Well not right now atleast way too much power....If i go with that system it mean i would have doubled my hp from 400 to 800..Handling traction and other issues would be a problem.....

I need to upgrade my vette in a step by step process...1st power, then suspension, then looks.....And then back again to power and so on...I hope you get my drift...

Anyways, thank you very much for the help
By the way when it comes to superchargers which system gives the most RWHP, best street manners, cost effective, less problems ( cutting, breaking down, etc...)
