I'd say that's very good advice as LAPD has loads of APS twin turbo install and engine tuning experience and on all accounts the customer service is absolutely first class.

Look hot and be fast as hell LMAO whatcha think ??

I had 485 rwhp and the M6 was ok but I think an auto built right would be just as fast and less hassle than trying to keep the slave from going south when pushing the car.

Basically want a car that does the following list:

1. beats just about anything on the street and even gives 600cc bikes a good run
2. Handles the power well and puts most of it to the ground
3. reliable for the most part (ie not spining off balancers / loosing 1/2 shafts or being generally able to put 93 octane in and go cruising around town looking good and when the time comes turn the boost up a few PSI and put the spank down at the track or on the HWY.
4 I desire 600 rwhp and a car that can handle it.
If you are going to race bikes, do it from a roll above 70 mph (at the track of course ). The faster you start at, the better your odds.

Sounds like you need just a forged bottom end, lower CR, decent heads with one of our boosted cams. This will get you flying. Then get your self some nice rims(the bling factor) with some good rubber (that'll help you hook up).

Shoot me PM for the options we have available for FI engines.

ok so far we have

Forged bottom end --$4,500
AFR (225cc)heads (if avil.) -- $2,500
Cams & Springs -- $600
APS TT Exhaust-- $2000
-----------------------------------
Next on list

Tranny mods to handle the power?? --
Wheel Size & offsets to tuck wide tires?? --
Tires that are sticky and last atleast 10K miles a pop ??--

-----------------------------------
IF I go brakes BBK costs $5K
FRONT: 355 x 32 mm Rotor/ 6 Piston Caliper
REAR: 355 x 32 mm Rotor/ 4 Piston Caliper

people say you need better brakes with more power but a C6 going 100 mph with 1000 rwhp stops the exact same way a 300 rwhp C6 does from 100 mph.

now back to Tranny and wheel / tire combos

Thanks for everyone's help sorry I have been away but just closed on my new home which distracted me from the forums

True enough, but folks forget about how much faster they get to that or any other speed. Things that happen unexpectedly allow less time to react when you are accelerating at a faster rate.
Folks also forget that with more horse power comes bigger tires and more pedal effort (read that as more heat to the pads and rotors) that can be applied before the wheels lock up and start to slide. There is good reason that bigger brakes are on the Z06 than on the Z51.
I also remember a post awhile back by Doug at ECS stateing how he also thought the Z51 brakes were enough until one day when he sailed right on through the end of the drag strip because of brake fade.

I thought people were having good results with a more aggressive fluid, SS lines, and pads.

Thats always a "in the mean time" fix

Good luck on your project. I should be starting mine soon.

If you want to make big big power I would take your extra money and talk to Texas Speed and build a new engine for your turbo system. Then I would think about what you want out of the car as far as power goes and see which manufacture has what your looking for.

We have a few C6 kits out there and by the time you have your engine complete we should be able to deliver a C6 kit to you. Our kit uses the same turbochargers as our C5 which means you would have enough turbo to support 1000hp.
