Default ProCharger Gauges??

Now that the ProCharger is installed, I'm ready to add my gauges.

I have a few questions:

If I install a fuel pressure guage, what is the maximum pressure the gauge needs to read?

If I install an Air/Fuel ratio gauge (non-wideband), can I share a connection with one of the factory oxygen sensors?

Thanks, Mike

speed inc has the best fuel pressure gauge for the rail it like 15.00 and it is 100 psi i think....mine sets on 60 with the 60# motrons. the a/f gauge is kinda a gimick. i am running one cause i did not want to spend 400 on a fuel pressure gauge in the car but wanted a dual pod. it will let you know if things are out of wack so it not useless.

1. AFR, but it requires a wideband, don't know how you can get a reading otherwise, 2. Fuel pressure, up to 75 or 100, and 3. boost or boost/vacuum. A vacuum is a useful gauge anyway.

Autometer Sport Comp are the closest match to C6 gauges. Fuel pressure should be 100lb, (mine runs at 65lb) and vacuum/boost to 15lb is easier to read than 0-30. Any gauge mounted under the hood is useless while driving, pillar pod is your best bet.

Fuel pressure at idle will normally be in the 58 to 60 psi range. At wide open throttle, expect to see fuel pressure drop down to approx 54 psi on a oem fuel system under boost. Much lower than 53-54 psi at wide open throttle in the upper rpm range, and you need to at the very least, add a boost a pump.

I recommend a fuel pressure gauge and a boost gauge, if you are going for just two gauges. The fuel pressure gauge needs to be an electrical one, as you don't want fuel pressure inside the passenger compartment. A fuel pressure gauge mounted at the fuel rail is only useful for checking idle pressure, or for monitoring fuel pressure on a chassis dyno.
The boost gauge can be a mechanical one.

For a third gauge, a wide band air/fuel gauge is the next gauge I would go with. You do need to add an extra bung to the exhaust system to install the supplied 02 sensor that comes with the gauge. You cannot "t" into the existing 02 sensor that is already on your car.
Don't buy a relatively inexpensive non wide band gauge, as they are totally worthless. We have found the AEM wide band air/fuel gauge to be a very reliable gauge, and it looks good to boot.
Here is a link to where we sell the AEM gauge on my website.

Bob,

Is the wideband guage for 2-1/16" or 2-5/8" hole?

Where do you mount the additional O2 sensor? I was thinking in my x-pipe but I don't know if there is enough clearance? I'd like to have it where it wll pick up exhaust from all cylinders.

Do you have to weld the new bung on or is there a threaded version that can be screwed in?

P.S. Got the squeal fixed. Gatorback belt did the trick.

Thanks, Mike
