I have a C6 with a Z06 body conversion. I am building a 427ci C5R with LS7 heads. What do you recommend for a turbo kit?
I want to make 1000hp on pump gas.
Just curious why you would spend the extra money for the C5R block? I'm going to use a new LS7 block with sleeves. W2W has a customer using a 300 shot on a stock sleeved LS7 block.
Well I'm definately the front runner and so NLP has a customer who has expressed interest. We will found out soon.
Well, I originally went with a set of ETP heads but I was told recently that they cracked on another customer's car so it was told for me to go with a set of All Pros. The deck size on the LS7 was the reason for me to be go with the All Pros Heads. My car will see about 14-16 psi once it fully dialed in.

Have a lookat the HPturbo kit. its deffinatly has the head room to make that much power. you can fit upto twin T76s on there!!!!
so far they dont have a version specifically for the C6 but the pipe work does look like it would fit.
talk to corvette4ever on here. he should beable to give you some more info (he is running a kit using twin 76's)
You will most likely need biger turbos and or more boost and more fuel for sure to push the bigger cubes, my friend went from a stock LS2 to a built 402 and cant even make the same power, more fuel/boost should fix it, but the fuel system is like 2,200.
The APS kit is extreemly nice and a super clean install, but some of the C6 system is restrictive, the very similal APS GTO system with smaller turbos (28's) made 712/762RW at 14lbs stock LS2 with 9.8:1 truck heads and small turbo cam.
I already have one (C5R Block) in the crate. Is APS a good system?
LS7 heads are good for the money.
APS makes a high quality system, I would wait for the Z06 kit for your application. To make that kind of power you will definitely need an alcohol injection system to run pump gas, and as far as the cylinder heads go, I would recommend aftermarket heads, they have a thicker deck area usually built into them, compared to stock heads. The reason for this is more clamping force on the head gasket, you will need as much as you can get to run the boost level to achieve the 1000 RWHP. Good Luck, Geoff.

As Geoff mentions above I've been told the deck area is thin for high boost applications. Im having a motor built with All Pro heads. Originally I was set to go with ET Heads but I was told it might not be the best heads out there for my application. Only problem with after-market heads they will require you to go with a different set of rockers which are not cheap.
