pulley size verys depending on your boost level. Vortech does have certain kits with boost limitations but that also verys on your motor and blower

I just called them for you. I spoke to Frank in sales at Vortech and he looked up the specs. 4.5" 6 rib head unit pulley. 6.5 psi @ 7K rpm. Good for extra 130fwhp/65fwtq

Hey thanks ALOT maan thats really kind of you!! Ok you made my life a lot easier.

You know, many people arent seeing 6.5 PSI and only 5PSI with the system, and with the catless headers that will go down, so Ill get myself a one size smaller, which as I understand is good for 1-2 more PSI's which should put me on track

Thanks again! :o

You asked the wrong question! temperatures?

Well its not all about the temperature, its both the temperature and the excessive humidity thats a killer. Tonight, yes at night my car was reading 40 degrees C.

A little after noon the temps go as high as 48 C. With the humidity it feels like your in an oven, literally. There is NO wher eyou could go to escape the immense summer heat, shadows wont help either!

right, and with a blacked out Z, things get even worse!

Thanks again for your help, can't wait to get the blower and all the mods on the car, the parts should be here soon

OK the one size smaller pulley after 4.5" is the 3.8" , yet the next smaller size is 3.6" what's with the discrepancy? Still Vortech claims that each smaller size pulley will contribute to 1-2 PSIG of additional boost.

Just a guess, but I believe Vortech made the 4.5" specifically for the C6 ZO6, which is a car that red lines at 7000 RPM. Most other applications redline at 6500 or lower, hence the drop to 3.8" head unit pulley. Vortech has an "impeller speed calculator" on their webite which is VERY helpful in choosing pulleys. It's under their "Support" section, check it out if you have not already BTW, since you have not started your install, I would DEFINITELY upgrade to an 8 rib setup, a 6 rib is too small for a car that turns 7000 rpm
