Default Do I need a Boost a pump?

I just have a Vortech Supercharger put on my ALL Stock C6 A6. The istaller said that since I am totally stock (not even headers or exhaust) and my fuel pressure is at 64psi at idel and 61psi during normally driving at 70mph, he is sure that the stock fuel pump will be more than enough. Just would like other people's opinion. Thanks

It doesn't matter what the fuel pressure is anytime except at WOT under boost in all gears. Check it under boost. My bet is that you will need a BAP.

Depending which unit your interested in, you can source them directly from the manufac.

I've used both products and personally favor the Magnavolt unit.

BTW: Congrats on the new power adder, I recall we talked via PM in the past about your interest with FI.

We use the MSD pn# 2350 on a lot of installs.

I agree with everyone else, I'd run some sort of boost a pump on your car. Bob

Yes, I did bother you a few times on your turbo setup but finally decided on a Vortech supercharger since I got a great deal on it.

I think I will go with your recommendation since you are very experienced and I do appreciate your advice.

No bother at all, I'm always willing to help a Corvette brother if I can. Wise choice on the Vortech system, there are a few running around here locally and having talked to the owners they all have nothing but good things to say about it.

Again, both units will work fine in your setup; I do like the rpm/boost variable of the Magnavolt. The KB BAP features an adjustable (gain) **** which most if not all FI setups I've seen had this **** set all the way to 50% with no way of locking it. My **** would slowly move, I would always second guess myself and check the setting. LOL

Shane, mentions installing a gauge on the fuel rail and that's a very good idea! I've had one sending unit gone bad on the FP gauge showing an inaccurate reading.
