Watched quite a few videos on the Patrol. Those things are unbelievable! Are those things available in the states? Talk about a total sleeper That would be great to ride around town(and off the beaten tracks around town!)
they dont sell them in the states, I guess they dont pass some of the strict emissions or safety regulations imposed.
But back here, its the king of the road, and beleive me those things FLYY, and we have seen few mess around with SLRs at 200MPH +++, yes above 200 Mph lol
Ive personally raced with one, and thank god he wasnt faster than me, he was next to me the whole time, what a scary scene!!
thats the waste gate, and the turbo on that car is an HKS T51 SPL BB with the HKS GT60 waste gate, my old land crusier had the same setup. the engine in the nissans is is infact the TB48 not the RB48, RB engines start from RB20 up to RB31 and they are limited to skylines only.
it belongs to a friend of mine, and it is a wastegate, infact its the HKS GT waste gate, and it dosnt have a blow of valve, and there isnt a blow valve that sounds like a wast gate, go to youtube and search for T51R SPL BB supras and you will know what am i talking about my friend.

yes it is a T51R indeed, and sorry about that RB, TB confusion, im not japanease cars fan, but I could tell you that this is no wastegate sound, infact its compressor surge, i have a few friends who own T51R turbo-ed patrols which sound exactly the same, and due to the noticable surge the car looses ALOT of speed during shifts given the turbo has to re-spool up and gain speed.
I dont know why wouldn't those high boost motors use blow-off-valves, which im sure will help maintain the turbines momentum during shifts and presicely when you lift off the throttle and cause a air-flow dead end.
I am by no chance starting a fight over here, but I never knew waste-gates "chatter" and it is widely stated that many folks think this is the wastegate's sound.
I would appreciate it, if member "APS" kicks in on this one
