Is it normal to have a detonation knock around 2500 rpm with engine bogged down? I never hear it if I start in 1st and run through all the gears but if I am cruising at like 2500 and get on it without downshifting, I will hear a knock for like 1 sec.

Do you have Hp tuners? You can monitor the knock sensors and knock retard with it? Could be a bad thing of gas, I always throw in a quart of torco in every tank never know what kind of octane you get a certain gas stations

I thought I heard knock in my set up under similar conditions, so I took a ride with my tuner and his tuning equipment, turns out the noise was coming from the exhaust. However, I have LT's, you might need to have your tuner dial in some more fuel around 2,500 rpm.

I agree that you probably need to see your tuner. If the engine is going lean in that rpm range, it can easily be fixed. My tuner has my fuel maps designed so that the engine doesn't pull a single degree of timing thru out the entire RPM range at WOT. A/F ratio is running around 11.5 at WOT, which is right on the mark for a FI engine. If your engine is knocking, then I think that this means the computer has pulled as much timing as it can, and you still have detonation. Not good for the engine, and I bet you're loosing some serious horsepower. Good luck.
