wife said the last car was too loud....drone

this car is pretty much stock with the exception of the procharger and the stinger catback. Think I am going back to the touring exhaust and gutting cats and adding headers. What is the header setup of choice for you FI guys. 1 3/4 or 1 7/8? Kooks? I think I will get back some of the noise I like while keeping her at bay this way! Thanks in advance you guys!

I have the Procharger with 1-7/8 American Racing headers, high-flow cats, and Corsa Sports. Very little drone. I had Bullets and GHL's. Couldn't take either. My ears would ring even after a short drive. Much better now.

thanks. regarding flow and affected boost levels, what made you decide on the bigger header and what are the advantages in your opinion?

We always bolt 1 7/8" headers up to the LS2 and use 1 3/4" for stock/mildly modified LS1s. Those combined with the supercharger would be a good combination. Gutting the cats will provide you with an aggressive sound, even with following it up with a Touring system. I'd say it will be at least as aggressive as the Stingers that your using now. Possibly more drone. Long tubes with cats ahead of a Touring system will usually be as loud as a Sport exhaust and no headers. Headers will kick up Sport system up a few notches and that combo with no cats will be even louder.
