OK, set aside some $s for headers. How much boost can I expect to lose? What is the pros and cons of brands you guys have experience with? Anyone get a good deal? Where? Going to order within a week. Thanks,
Shane

you cant beat lg's headerws. theyu are more money because they use a way better and more expensive collector but that where you gain the tourque from with these headers......it 20-30 ft lbs lost on a stock car who knows on a blown. we install them on everyone of our cars!!!

You are going to loose boost, but you wont loose power. You are just making your engine a more efficient air pump and the boost wont build up as much, but it wont need to. Dont worry about loosing boost, just know you are going to make much more efficient power.

Big tube kooks will make more HP in an S/C application...better build quality too compared to the LG's.

The LG's are so long sometimes the tubes will rattle together....no big deal aside from the noise.

Can't go wrong with 2inch kooks...That would be my choice if i were to do it again...
I went with dynatech because nothing else was out at the time (2005)
And L.G. makes a GREAT product...
So as long as you go with one of the "Big 3" you'll be happy, and I hear that American Racing stuff is right at the top as well... so really the "Big 4"...
But once again 2 inch kooks imho...

I installed 1 7/8" Dynatechs. I was very impressed with the quality and fit...... lost 1lb of boost (with a maggie).

so close, not a big enough difference (1/8th in) to make a large rwhp difference, however since they are offered and you are shoving air in... why not make it as easy as possible to come out...
