TT Pros/Cons?

I have twins on my 98 Camaro. Been on the car since October of 2000. My tunes were when I installed it. When I raised the boost and when I change from the LS1 to the LS6 engine. All of those tunes were for marked increases in HP and required as I powered up the turbo system to it's current 551 RWHP. I haven't done a tune since my last upgrade modification. Turbos do not have the parasitic power loss for the spinning pulley and belt as do superchargers. Turbos are ONLY on when you DEMAND it. I can drive from here to Nome Alaska and NEVER hit boost and have great gas mileage.
A turbo causes a constant tune to keep it running is plain

A good friend of Mine is having them installed on His Vette.
If the Turbo is what You want,..then only ask questions on that subject!!
You know Guys here get "pissy" sometimes!!
Hey,..I have a Maggie, and love it,..but "to each His own"!
Good luck My friend!!
George
now I really want it.
Not saying it is any better/worse than a CSC or Maggie, just that it's something I have always wanted.I've had a csc car and I've had a turbo car. Actually, it was the same car. I understand the characteristics of each set up and how they make power. Since that was a different platform/vehicle I just wanted insight to a C5/6 specific set up.
With heavily modified engines, "constant tuning" isn't necessarilly required but it is something to think about. Basically it all comes down to the instal, tune, and driving. As long as I operate in the safe limits and capabilities of the car/tune, there shouldn't be many, if any issues. I'm confident in my shop of choice and the APS kit seems to be top quality and get great reviews. I have a chance at a good deal on a kit so I'm just waiting on a few more pieces of info before it's a go....or maybe a no.
Anyway, I appreciate all the help and I'll be sure to post updates and info on the possible build. Information and opinions are still welcome if anyone has any.

1. what's your power goals?
2. are you doing the work yourself?
3. how much do you want to spend?
* The top LSX 1/4 mile numbers were accomplished with a TT, however they are not street legal cars.
* TT costs more and is much more complex to install.
* Most any kit with make 500-550whp with ease, however you want to make 800hp, you will need a custom TT kit.
* TT sounds best at WOT, where the SC sounds great at idle / off idle.
* TT makes more torque down low, centrifugal SC's make power higher in the rpm range, however traction will limit your ability to put it to the ground.
* Saying you own a TT vette sounds
I am going FI next winter and have been leaning heavily towards TT however in CO there arn't really any great tuners so I wouldn't want something that I would have to constantly tune. All I want is something to make 450-500 RWHP on a safe tune and leave it alone.
Thanks
