He put that there so solve the oil consumption issues with this kit. My LS2 was consuming oil like mad until I did that with mine. Andy will explain.

It's just the crankcase breather line. I find it helps a lot with oil consumption.
Catch cans catch a lot less oil with the line mounted high like this.

Can't wait to see some dyno numbers. I was just reading a thread on the "Tech" section and they were throwing out numbers like 380 rwhp with a "good" tune on a stock LS3 and 420 rwhp with headers, port/polish, and tune on an LS3. Is that possible? I thought the literature indicated 430 bhp and subtract 18% for trans and driveline which comes to about 350 rwhp.

PS-Put 2K on her since I got her back and haven't broken the trans yet!! Still a beast to control, though. THANKS

I'm really interested in the dyno numbers over stock too. How many #'s of boost are you seeing? I'd like a bit more info on the setup please. Fuel system upgrades?

Could you also pm me with a cost for this setup and when its going to be available. Thanks

PS: Nice, clean setup!!!

The car's apart right now because I sold the suspension and diff out of it.
I won't be able to get it on the dyno until this weekend or next week.
It just has a Boost A Pump on it right now. We'll see what the limit is on that setup.
I also build a complete fuel system that will handle pretty much anything I can throw at it.

Hey Andy,

I need to make my mind up between your system and waiting for Kenne-Bell to deliver for the C6. What say you on the delay and what is the price difference. Do you have feel for the weight difference, too.

thanks in advance,

Jon

I have no idea why the delay.
There is a considerable weight difference. How much, I'm not sure.
My system has been working well for the LS2 and LS7. I expect nothing less for the LS3.
I've made some improvements to the intercooler that will be implemented in all the C6 kits from now on. I shortened the bottom tank and off set the inlet even more. This allows me to lower the intercooler another inch, getting more of it into the direct path of incoming air.
My kits are still on sale for $5495. I guess the other plus is that I have kits ready to go right now.
Thanks, Andy

I've seen this as well, and I think those huge numbers are total . If you assume 430 crank is the correct number (and, using the new testing methods, it almost has to be), then the rwhp would be about 355 or so stock. There is no way they picked up that much power with a simple tun and headers. Impossible - it seems to me that those claim these kinds of numbers are simply playing the dyno system - pump lots of air into the intake, etc.

We put down 441/429 with LG headers, k&n intake and tune on a mustang dyno w/ an A6. It put down 368 stock. Don't know what to tell ya

Just a quick update. I put it on the dyno for the first time yesterday.
It made 531 RWHP and 499 RWT. These are just preliminary numbers.
I'm looking for real world numbers. Not some inflated number with extra boost, octane booster or a real sketchy tune.
I only had about 13* timing in it to start.
This will be something that can be expected from the kit with no other mods and a basic tune.
I'll work my way up slowly from here, then change to a T Trim to see what it will make.
I expect to get close to 600 RWHP with the T.

531 rwhp, is that even as much as the ZR1 will produce?

Having broken the rear end in my C4, are there no such issues with 'your' cars? Quite amazing results... makes me almost drool.

My LS2 bone stock with Andy's S-trim kit made 548rwhp and 481rwtq with the 3.8" pulley and 93 octane tune. Looks like the extra cubes on the LS3 really helps with the tq. Nice numbers Andy, what pulley size made those numbers>?

Over the weekend, I tuned it a little more and came up with 551 RWHP and 505 RWT. I'm pretty happy with that.
That's with our 91 Octane crap gas we have to work with out here. 93 would be a BIG help.

It's a 3.6 pulley. The compression is a little lower on the LS3 and there's a few more cubes.
I think I saw 8# on the gauge.

Yes. I have them ready to go.
