I can understand the 50/50 injection, but why not run straight methanol? Would it not be worth the added 20% torque or so over gasoline?
I know the fuel milage suffers, but are you REALLY concerned about fuel milage with 500-600 hp?
I can understand the corrosion issues (I run it in the dragster), but couldn't this be solved with a small gas system in tandem?
(reverse the gas/methanol tanks and use the gas for starting and stopping)
My take is that some pioneer wil have to show that it can be done successfully. The potential for corrosion damage to vulnerable parts of the fuel system and a resulting fire is the show stopper for me. I can reach "enough" RWHP without the conversion hassle, so it isn't tempting at this point.
