Default Vortech fitment questions

Hey guys and gals, quick question. I plan to get a Vortech supercharger in the future. Question is, what happens with the radiator coolant line, and one of the a/c lines when the head unit is installed at the front right of the engine bay? Do those lines get in the way and require movement or extending? Or does the head unit just fall into place? Thanks.

Hope I made that understandable!

I didn't have any problems with the A/C lines, but I did have to extend the one coolant line that has a 'T' in it right where the SC mounts. It's possible to pull it towards the passenger side for clearence, but I didn't want to have a constant pulling stress on the hose so I added a piece of 3/4" radiator hose right at the recovery tank. Plenty of slack now.

The a/c line that runs over the top of the rad gets tweaked a little to clear the new rad enclosure bracket. The rad line the runs from the T to the water pump can be moved like shown in "My Corvette Pictures". The electrical plumbing that's connected to the rad fan can be disconnected for extra clearance. If you have tranny cooler lines, just negotiate them out of the way when you put in the hard pipe from below. I basically put the hard pipe between them.

The picture just got put up, so needs to be approved before you can see it.

On the A&A vortech kits, what has to be done about the intercooler and piping fitment? As far as cutting, moving or bending stuff? Thanks

Both Vortech and A&A kits require some modifications of the radiator header plate to clear the blower intake tube and upper charge pipe(in some cases) Both require trimming of the wheel well liners(vortech on the pass. side, A&A on the drivers) Both mount the blower in the same location, both have really good brackets and belt alignment/tension. Either one is a good choice, just depends on who gives you the best price/service, etc.. Andy is really good at answering the phone for any questions.
