So like, how would you know if your clutch is slipping from the power? And how would you tell if it was fried? Wondering if I really need to replace my stock clutch since I've installed the maggie. Forum member is offering me a Spec 2 at a good price.
If the tach reads rpm's higher that what you would reasonably expect, the clutch could be slipping. If you smell an odor like burnt newspaper, it could be slipping. If you can get a deal on a clutch, you might consider buying it for future use. I've had my car supercharged for over 18 months with the stock clutch with zero issues and only one set of new rear tires. Alot depends on how you use/abuse the car.

just my opinion but I had a spec 3+ and I broke it in 800 miles and it only lasted 50 more and I had to replace with a rps its to much work or money to do more then once spec did nothing except pass the buck the installer recomended it needless to say they dont use spec no more nor does katech.
do NOT get the Spec... sooooooo much negative feedback from C5 F.I. guys for years, waaaaaaaaaaaay out numbers any positive feed back... They may be great for up to 450rwhp regardless of what they claim they'll hold, but above that nothing but negative from 90% of the posts I've seen through the years...
