If you want to make over 650 safely, in the Middle East heat, you are going to need a bigger blower. We can build you a really good engine but the 112 just cant flow enough to keep up with the demands of the bigger engine. increasing to a 383 or 402 stroker will make a big jump in torque with your 112, but to make good top end power, the combination needs to flow a lot of air and the 112 becomes a restriction. I would suggest looking into modifying your manifold to accept a bigger 122 or even a TVS 2300 blower which could keep up with the demands of a bigger engine. Then we could build you a nice 402 with some good flowing heads, that would easily make 650 RWHP at a safe boost level. You are also going to need to pay attention to the intercooler setup, possibly look at a bigger heat exchanger, and some meth injection.

Assuming you have the blower situation solved, I would recommend the follwing engine:
LS2 block
LS2 crank
Forged steel Callies connecting rods
Forged aluminum Mahle pistons ( 8.5-9.0 compression)
Stage 2 LS2 heads ( S/S valves, dual springs, titanium retainers)
your current SC1 cam or the SC2 cam from Speed Inc both work well with boost.
160 thermostat

This would give you 402 cubic inch, and will safely handle 12+ psi in the extreme heat.

If you wanted to sell your current Maggie, and buy a new blower kit that uses the TVS2300 blower. There is one available that has an intake manifold that will bolt up to the new L92 heads, which would allow you to flow even more air and make better power at the same
12+ psi , resulting in closer to 700RWHP.

Shoot me a PM if you would like to discuss this setup,

Ed

Ed is full of priceless advice!

I didn't know the TVS2300 was available already! That's awesome!

Thanks, but to be clear this is not an off the shelf magnuson kit that I'm referring to. It's another manufacturer that uses the TVS 2300 to produce a kit for another vehicle that has the same cylinder heads. This kit could easily be adapted to the OP's setup

Hope this helps,
Ed

I'll go against the grain here.

First, any forced induction stoker combination that doesn't have sufficient sleeve/cylinder bore length to properly support the piston at BDC is not going to be durable or produce max power over the life of the engine. Use only the C5r block or the LS7 block as the foundation.

For severe duty/boost use the World Products War Hawk block. Or, have the LS2/LS3/LS7 sleeved by Steve Demerjian - he utilizes CNC equipment, maintains/sets proper bore spacing, extends the new sleeves fully, and uses the best Darton Sleeves available.

Personally I'd turbo the engine but if you want to use a PD blower, re-think the Maggie vs the KB.

I definately agree with that Charlie, but with a 402ci in an LS2 block, there is still plenty of cylinder bore length to support the piston when it's at BDC. Now if we were talking about alot more boost, I would go to one of the other blocks, but this combination will easily handle 12-15psi.

As to the positive displacement blower vs turbo, I also agree, but cost is the big factor, although the kit that supplies a TVS2300 with a manifold that will fit L92 heads is pricey, and honestly would cost about the same as and APS or TTi kit. KB's new stuff may be a great alternative, depending on price. I know their blower will make the boost, but I haven't seen any info on pricing or availability of the kit to fit L92 heads (LS3,LS7 ports) If you have, could you forward me a link?

According to Jeff@American Horse Power Jim Bell bought a 2008 C6 last week to make a blower kit for the C6 guys. I bought a 2.8 last week for my C5. I am trying to decide weather to go with a LS2 stroker or a LS3 stroker 402 or 416. What do you guys think?
