I just picked up my c6 z and I wanna boost it. I was
going to go turbo but I think a blower would be all I need. My goal is around 800whp. I wanna put forged pistons and rods in it and a good h/c/I set up. What blower and set up do you guys suggest? My budget is 25000 for the complete build. Thoughts?
I don't know of an off the shelf supercharger kit currently available to fit LS7 engines, that would make the amount of power you want, other than a big custom Procharger setup. A custom Harrop kit, utilizing a roots style TVS 2300 supercharger could create the boost, but the question of compression ratio, and strength comes up.
I believe one of the blower kits above, and one of our low compression, forged LS7 shortblocks would get you there:
We have done turbo setups on LS7 Vettes that make the power your looking for, and fit into your budget, and the the Harrop project I mentioned above could probably be done for that as well. Please PM me your email and I can send you some information,
Ed
Well seeing that several of us make 700rwhp+ with less than 10psi on stock LS2 bottom ends, (mine with a P1SC the smallest head unit offered for our cars) your goal, if set up correctly, should be VERY easy to attain... I would call Chris or Doug at ECS right now, before everyone jumps on the band wagon, and tell them your goals, they will steer you EXACTLY where you need to go... www.eastcoastsupercharging.com ph#609-752-0321
Build the engine to around 10.5:1 compression put a good high lift cam in with a good exhaust duration and a min 114 lsa. Put a better oil cooler in the Corvette with a bigger all aluminum radiator then go with a A&A Supercharging vortech head kit with a small pulley and bigger supercharger for more boost. Boom 825 at engine or more.
I like what corvettedoctor had to say and I did mine for under $25,000 also. I bought the forged LS-7 from Texas Speed and added the F1A Procharger along with the radiator, fans, coolers, and a 8 ribbed system. I then added some more money to the mix and did my Z-06 rear fender package along with rims/tires/calipers/rotors. YOU have most of this and are in great shape. Good Luck and please post pictures of your build. Charlie C6 ROLLER

if i went forged internals in the stock blokc think it would hold 800rwhp? i heard the stock block might not even go beyond 600whp cause of the thin walls. I was looking at the gm lsx iron block, what do you guys think?

I have a 2006 Z06 "boosted" by ESC's SC600, american racing headers and ESC tune (620ish rwhp 640ish rwtq) and as of today has an Alky kit installed (told it is at 670 rwhp and 650ish rwtq - will post dyno sheets of pre/post alky kit after I pick up the car tomorrow). As you can see, your Z06 can put out strong numbers without going inside. Also, even pre-Alky kit, the useability of this much power on stock (or even drag) tires is all dependent upon your right foot. It is absolutely insane how much power 600+ rwhp/rwtq is until you try to get the most of it. That said, 800 is totally doable and I'd recommend without question ESC and its crew (Chris, Doug and John).

you can't go wrong with lsx block. you know you're safe for 1000+ whp. you add mucho poundo tho, so you gotta account for that. ive decided to go LSx on my build, so i've got the back of my head thinking of other weight reductions i can do (seats, hood, etc..)
wow thats an awesome build u guys did and that cts is such a sleeper, i would never suspect a 800+whp cts. Id love to use my stock block to make that kinda power with some forged internals. I think 800whp id be happy with and would be way more then enough on the streets and should get my z into the 9's with some good driving.

Thanks, this V was featured in the August issue of GM High-Tech. We can help you out with your build, I have one of the best engine builders around, here is a link to him. Bob http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...php?service=92

We are finishing up this same combo now, and seeing 800 hp utilizing an APS kit and our forged low compression shortblock & high flow LS7 heads.
