Default Boost-a-pump Help needed ASAP

Ok I have already done a search here on the forum. I also went to cajundudes website for a how to on the install. I installed the racetronix plug and play harness. http://www.cajundude.com/bap.htm

I installed everything correctly and I have verified that already. I also checked the grounds as well and made sure that I buffed off the paint for the grounds. Here is the problem, when I originally plugged in the harness and wired everything the car was fine and I drove it around for probably 50 miles with no boost. I then got into boost for the first time and the car shut off and would not crank. I check for codes and got
P0230 Fuel Pump Control Circuit. I went to the fuse panel and the fuel pump fuse was fine. I then went to the inline fuse for the racetronix and it was blown (20amp). I replaced it and the car drove a few more miles and then died again. I went out and checked the same fuse and it was fine. I then went to the rear fenderwell where I mounted the pump and checked the inline fuse by the boost-a-pump and it was blown. So now I am really stumped so I pull off the racetronix harness and plug the factory pump connections back together and it fires right up. I get it back to my house and reconnect the BAP and the car won't start. I unplug it and plug the factory back in again and it runs fine again. What could be wrong here? I really need to get my car going again.

Did you verify that the red line from the BAP (one with the fuse is connected to the alternator side of the racetronic and the orange (actually looks red, but do not have the fuse) is connected to the pump side of the racetronic.

If you're seeing a 20 amp fuse blow then there has to be a short to ground somewhere after the fuse and before the fuel pump. I would look to see that the insulation has not been punctured during install routing and also take a look inside the connector for possible crimping errors such as that leave wire strands hanging out, ect. Last resort would be to pull the harness and do a point to point ring out (continuity check) to verify everything is properly wired in the harness it's self.

I made sure on the racetronix harness the pump inlet wire went to the fused side of the KB and the out went to the non fused side of the KB. I ran the main power wire down the rocker panel to the alternator. I doubt that the wire could have gotten nicked, but I will check. I may just end up taking off all of the racetronix kit and rewire it like it is in the instructions. Anyone else have any ideas.

So did you find out what is going on?

Maybe a bad KB BAP unit?

The RX harness fuse should be upgraded to 25 amps when using a BAP. This will help prevent the inrush / startup current from blowing the fuse. Future PBICs may include fuses.
If you still blow 25 amp fuses then the harness should be inspected for shorts against the body of the car. The Racetronix harness is not the cause of your problem.
