I was wondering getting NOS as opposed to a procharger or doing further costly work to my car? Any thoughts from anyone on it. See my sig for what I have now, I dont track my car but I do want a bit more thrust in the upper gears (i.e.3rd and 4th). NOS seems logical since I wont need that constant power all the time, only when needed. I do plan on some LG headers ASAP and a tune is in order. Thanks!
I used to have nitrous on my car and it was nice when the bottle was the correct pressure and there was enough N2O in the bottle. It was kind of a pain in the butt to get it to work proficiently. If you do go with N20 I would suggest a bottle temp controller, a remote valve opener, pressure guages and a window switch to protect the motor agains over revs and missed shifts. TNT (texas nitrous technology) has a great kit for a good price and the guys are awesome and very knowledgable. http://www.texasnitroustechnology.com Give them a call and they can help you out.
Just my opinion, but NANO seems like it might be a little overkill for goofing around in a street car. A good size bottle and a bottle heater should do the trick i would THINK....

But for multi gear highway, I mean closed course pulls, the NANO is the only way to go...
If you have any questions please feel free to ask. There are many kits available on the market today and sometimes its tough to choose the right kit for your personal needs. Thanks!
Well now that I am a paying sponsor, I can be more specific in my recommendations check out the kits at my web site, however, there are only a couple posted as of right now. Check out specifically the "Sudden Impact" kit. It has everything you need to get started concerning the tune. It includes the Interface for fueling and timing pull. I just can't say enough about this kit, a great value for a complete high end kit. It's at least something to look at to get you started, and it is a Dry Plate kit; though there is a similar Wet Plate kit if you choose the wet route. Of course on top of the base kit a couple added items are rec like a bottle heater, and I agree for a base street/strip set-up a NANO (push system) is not needed. Another product for ultimate safety and consistent runs would be a window switch to control the on/off of the kit based upon RPM. Yes considering the bang for the buck, a nitrous kit is the way to. hell, I put my 100% bone-stock, not even headers, long-block LS6 into the 10 sec category at the strip and this was done for about $500. I would love to help in any way I could, and this is certainly not dependent on buying any products from my company. If you would like me to expound on any of my comments, fire away. Lots of good nitrous/Corvette stuff if you browse my site. good luck on your N2O journey. http://RobertsNitrousService.com/

Edit: I was just thinking about how i had one of my combos set-up to be ready anytime I had the car running. My motto with that car/set-up was "Always Ready". No worrying whether this is on or that is on and if it's hot or bottle open. yes it can be done and has/is being done. I also always rec to upgrade from a 10lb to 15lb bottle for added capacity, that is if the extra is there or wants to be spent, lol.
