Post this in the Tech area also.

Kenne Bell

What is it?

Intercooled twin-screw supercharger system

For which cars?

C6, C5

What engines?

LS6, LS2, LS1

Fits under stock hood?

No

Engine mods required?

No

Fuel-system mods required?

Yes

How much power on stock engine?

40-50 percent increase, depending on boost and application

How much?

Starting at $6,999

Why you want it:

KB says its twin-screw supercharger system provides big-block feel at any engine or vehicle speed, not just peak rpm. It benefits from cooler air-charge temperatures and lower parasitic loss than Roots-style blowers. Instant full boost is available at any engine speed from 2,500 rpm up. This means more low- and mid-range torque and hp. KB also says there is no boost drop-off from 5-18 psi. A huge 93mm inlet manifold accepts stock 76mm or aftermarket 90mm throttle bodies.

Well, it is a twin screw positive displacement blower, and right now there is no C6 kit, and there is no date for a C6 kit.

According to Kenne Bell, it will first be available for the LS9, then maybe the LS3.

It will definitely need an after market hood, and that has been passed as a reason to why there is no C6 kit yet. The Kenne Bell is a bigger blower than the maggie, and needs more space under the hood.

As it is a positive displacement blower, it has many of the same power benefits as the maggie. Power all through the rpm band, and max boost almost instantly. It's benefits over the maggie are cooler air and less blower rpm's needed to make the same boost.

The end all be all of it, is that there is an Eaton TVS that has about the same benefits, and it will probably come out before the maggie and be able to use existing hoods. Hell, they might already have a kit. They certainly have a C6 Z06 kit, and it's awesome.

The maggie also is a great positive displacement blower. Great choice if you want that kind of power adder.

And there is also the awesome centri kits. ECS and A&A both have great kits that will scare you senseless. With all the torque our cars already have, centri's make a good marriage by keeping the bottom end manageable.

End of it all is that the Kenne Bell is not available, and may not be any time soon (it's been "coming" for almost 4 years). If you MUST have a twin screw, look up the Whipple kit by Dragon Race Engineering. Exact same technology, but actually bothered getting a kit out for the C6 crowd.

I've done business with Jeff at Total Performance, great guy!

I'll be surprised to see a C6 kit out by then, though. The last post Kenne Bell made here, they said they were developing first a replacement blower for the ZR1, and then they would be branching out to the other kits.
