So I'm days away from getting my blower, and I'm having a hard time getting information from anyone regarding the safety of my motor with a FI system.
My concern is that my compression ratio is at 11:1 now, is that going to create problems with a blower? Again, this is a LPE modded LS2 with 9000 miles. Stage II heads, and aggressive cam.
Keith I was at 11/1 cr for 25,000 miles before my recent change to 317 heads... as long as you have a good tune you are in there with ZERO issues... Methanol injection will help with detonation, and HIGHLY suggested on all F.I. builds, and VERY HIGHLY suggested on higher compression ratio F.I. builds... With all that said... you will be FINE with that C.R. with a tuner that is experienced with F.I.... It's ALL about the tune...
I'm running real close to 11:1 and the best gas in CO is 91 octane. No issues and 761/670 10psi.
Are you running meth?
And, DAM, 761.....that is a huge number.
My tuner and I will be shooting for about 575-600 WHP. He assures me that he can do this very safely without the meth and pump gas with 4-6 lbs. of boost. I'd like as much as possible to be able to get the power to the ground. Plus, more than 600 WHP is just nuts anyway...
The dyno is one thing and the street/track is a whole other animal. 11.1 is on the hi-side, one bad tank of gas and you'll be rattling the gaskets out of the block. I'm not saying it cannot be done but you'll much "safer" at 10.1.
Check out this build we did where the customer initially wanted to keep his Firehawk N/A, so we built the engine with a 11.0/1 compression ratio. The next year we added an APS twin turbo kit to it. Bob

I DO agree with you, but the problem is Arun, we LS2,3,7 guys don't have much of a choice if we stay with the stock short block, so since 2005 SEVERAL of us have been at this C.R. with zero issues (when setup and tuned correctly) and METHANOL is your friend!!!
