Engine upgrades needed?

LS3 and thinking of going twin screw blower. Want to kept boost low, 5 lbs. or so. What would it take in engine build to run this system with like OEM reliability? No track time and weekend car. not going to punish the car much at all.

There is nothing to do, just throw the blower on and at 5psi you'll never know anything out of the ordinary is under the hood until you hit the throttle. The reliability is already there, clutch included.

I have been running 7psi boost on a roots blower on my Toyota Tacoma for 110kmi with no issues. If you start to get greedy and turn up the boost, you may need some upgrades then.

5lbs of boost wont even phase the ls3. as long as u dont beat the hell outta it. with that much boost u might see 100k miles. the thing is u wont stay at 5lbs for long. trust me

Not to hijack the thread but at what point (boost psi) do you start to punish a stock LS3 or start to push it too hard?

The stock motor will be fine at 5 PSI. No mods needed.

The stock motor (with a proper tune) can handle around 7 PSI.

If you run meth injection, it will take considerably more boost without modification!
