Default Engine Horsepower/Torque?

I would like to know... what is my engine horsepower and torque?

I have an '07 A6 LS2 with a P1 Procharger supercharger, Kooks long tube headers w/hi-flo cats, X-pipes, Corsa Sport exhaust, 60lb injectors, Kenne-Bell booster pump and NGK TR-6 plugs.

The dyno results were: 475 RWHP/ 439 TQ

So, what do the dyno results translate to at the engine flywheel?

560-565 hp and 520 tq. Thats 18% drivetrain loss. Prolly pretty close.

About 15-18% more than your RWHP.

A good tune by a professional is very important.

Forget the engine HP. You should find out why your wheel HP and torque are so low. You should be somewhere around 500-525 rwhp and 480-495 rwt.

I agree, there should be no reason why this car should be 500+

Who tunes the car?

Wouldn't it be prudent to ask what the boost psi is and whether a Mustang dyno was used before questioning the quality of the tune. Just asking.

My dyno numbers according to some would be 30+ higher on one of the other dynos. But I look at it as some using certain dyno numbers as a crutch.

I'm only running 7lbs of boost for longevity and I did have it tuned by the most reputable tuner in the Phoenix area. I don't know which type of dyno was used, so, figure the one that gives the lowest numbers, OK?

Thanks

You're pretty close to my #'s. I have an 06 A6 with similar mods to yours and I have a Vortech T trim with a safe tune making 505/440 to the wheels. In the near future I'll turn up the boost.

Seeings how we're both in the same general area I will throw out what I've found out.
I don't know who you are referring to when you say "most reputable tuner" but I have communicated by email with a tuner that uses the name Nic D and here is what he said about my dyno tune that was done in S Cal in the winter when it was 40* in the dyno bay: "That's some really good power for the level of boost and the timing. I don't know if I would expect that much power here in AZ, everything seems lower here in AZ compared to the
rest of the US."

When you get a tune here you have to take in to account the VERY high summer temps, especially if you are not using meth/alky. There are those who choose to run a winter tune and then switch to a summer tune for June thru September.

Yes, Nic D is the tuner I used.
Also, it is my understanding that you can use the 18% drivetrain loss for stock, however, when you increase your hp/tq the drivetrain loss doesn't increase, it remains the same irreguardless.

475 is not THAT low on a load-bearing dyno through an automatic tranny in a state with a generally hot climate.
